How’s the 2023-24 season going?

I agree. They need a special type of training & development. Times are changing fast and the girls game is also evolving. The clubs that can provide this type of environment for elite girls will win in the future. We are seeing many more girls go train and play with MLS boys since AT opened that door. ECNL and GA clubs need to allow their top female talent train with boys and also play with boys. The clubs that can provide that dual environment will be the winners in the future. Like I’ve mentioned before I would love for mine to play with boys so she can develop that edge but I’m not delusional like many dads I know. I’m honest to myself knowing she does not have the God given talent like some of these goats have. She will only get so far given her genes. She is still a good player that plays in ecnl, but she is not a goat. I’ll be the first one to say it and admit it. If I don’t take care of her athleticism she can easily go backwards like others have mentioned.
Lots of GOATs when the kids are young. However, the true goats rise to the top. I think you have a healthy perspective. My dd just wanted to play against the goats and maybe catch one napping. Beating a true goat can change a player and give her the confidence that she can hang with the goats. No girls team is a team of goats in club. Let's not forget OM. I think she went first, no? I also believe some girls would never play with the boys.

Well thank you. No I don’t mind sharing, I worked in physical therapy with a specialization in sports rehab. I now have moved over into public health. More money in it but not as fun! But we got to pay for all this soccer! 😂

Young females are more prone to ACL tears after they have started their menstrual cycle. Since women’s sports has recently grown there is not enough data to tell us exactly why. But it is being studied. The current evidence is pointing to hormones in females, the biomechanics (body movements) due to having larger hips than males. Also, females generally have lower muscle mass/strength than males. That muscle protects our joints/tendons etc. There are also some suggestions that the turf may be a problem.

The current tendency in youth sports is to play all the time. An athletic child may really enjoy it but it will show on the body at an earlier age. Many young athletes are developing tendinitis, arthritis at younger ages. Proper strength training, stretching is really important for these young athletes. Many clubs do not offer that, even for their elite teams. If you have an injury, can’t perform, then it’s on to the next kid. So it’s up to the parent to protect the child. And it’s ok to REST! We have one body for the rest of our lives. I know it’s fun & really cool to see your kid on top but we really need to look at the full picture.

Chill out!!! They are still kids. Not sure what point you’re trying to make with this. I was simply commenting on how the drama of youth soccer is funny. These parents constantly team hopping and withholding information as if this is a pro draft is ridiculously funny to me. I disagree that a 14/15 year old needs to involved with an NWSL club. You are clearly over looking the mental and social well being of children.
I understood his comment to mean that someone was probably overstating this player's impact and he was being a bit tongue-in-cheek

Just to clear things up. I was never referring to good solid players that may go forward or backward one day during high school. I’m referring to the obvious goats. 🐐 the ones that have stood out from 5 years old until now. Like @Carlsbad7 mentioned you guys are not understanding the type of player being discussed. I’m referring to the Sophia Smiths, the Trinity Rodman’s, the Alyssa Thompson’s . They all have the special athletic gene and there is no drop off or slowing down. They just keep getting better and faster over time. Like I said they can be counted on 1 hand.
Like i said. We do understand the players you’re talking about.

Any news on why Surf lost? Was this a fluke game or where players missing? @Surfer_dad
No excuse for losing! Phoenix played a great game and deserved the win. To answer your question, three of Surf’s powerhouse players were out, one with an injury and two that were lent to the ‘08’s. One of those domino effects where coaches took a risk to lend players from different teams to play up due to missing players at the older ages. The coach playing some players out of position probably didn’t help either. Take nothing away from Phoenix Rising! As the saying goes, if you don’t leave it all on the field, you probably lose.

On a more Surf positive note, the ‘11’s moved into the top 11 this weekend. Quite a climb from the beginning of the season!

Thanks for the truth. Was this a road game? With the powerhouse players (The Goats🐐) playing up (like all goats get to do), this will have no bearing on rankings.

We got some who have spilled the beans with rumor mill news. Today, it's time to stir the pot. I just got some insane news about some big bosses possibly going down. This is secondhand news source, so bear with me. Hang on folks, things are about to take a nasty turn for a few cheaters if my source is telling the truth:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:. All I can say is karma is very real.

Don't let us hang too long!

Well, you should just leave me alone and hit the ignore button like you promised everyone. Talk about a two-face liar. You call me a liar, which so funny. I only said I was leaving because you tried to get me kicked off the forum. It's called satire dummy. If this stir the pot doesn't pertain to you and your cheating, it's best to move right along and go back to "The Kitchen" where you belong. Now if this does pertain to you, you got some explaining to do to all the parents on here.
and your DD plays for who?

From all the the dated references I would gather that Crush doesn't have a kid involved in youth soccer anymore either, so trust me I've already taken notice of this character with multiple rumor mill posts for an age group you have no kid in? Is this true? If so, touch grass bro you live in Cali
