CalSouth National Cup Question (use of ECNL players)

YESSSSSS!! Go on with your bad self , Zilla. You make this an awesome read. The quintessential Arsenal/RB apologist. Was your DD one of the ECNL girls, or was she the beneficiary of thier participation! Look, you won't get many that will argue Arsenal's talent factory. That's not even what the point of this thread was about. Since I don't feel like re-reading 16 pages of this thing, I will go out on a limb and say nobody downplayed the talent level. I only jumped in after YOU made it interesting. It's all about ethics, Jabroni. Arsenal and RB have been the subject of questionable ethics for some time. Nobody hates Arsenal, IMO. Just parts of it. Eventually, most the top players leave and become part of us. You know it, as do many. So, enjoy it while it lasts. See you in our colors someday.

I'm just calling it out from the other side, Everyone wants to beat up Arsenal sometimes fair and some times not, and so. . .I thought this board needed a counter to all of the hateraid that was being delivered through the firehouse of losses and discontent.

Now, I am not Apologizing for RB . . . There are definite deficiencies as a coach, just as with many other coaches, but there are also upsides as you attest. Players do develop and come out stronger than other teams for sure. And who knows maybe one day we might be playing in other colors ... as my first loyalty and interest is my DD and if that is Arsenal Great, and if not that's Great too ... because we all have choices.

This is a marathon for us, where parents, players need different development strategies depending on their DD's skill level, mental toughness and maturity. The one thing my DD's will never do is apologize for Winning and Winning the right way.

The Ethical question that so many of you have on the use of ECNL players or not, should not be directed at just one club, but rather it is question for Cal South. All RB did was play within the Rules provided, Added ECNL players to fill up his EGSL roster and played ball.

And that is my point to all of this ... Don't get mad at the player, Get mad at the Game - - - Translation - - - Don't get mad that RB played within the rules of the Presidents cup, Get Mad at the Rules of presidents Cup. . .thats it . . . simple! . . .Good Night!

It was pretty funny, libs don't like it when someone else starts throwing race around, only they can do that.
RB is a terrible excuse for a coach, all he does is steal players and develops no one. The only development the players get is from the other players on the team. Rules are rules, change them if you don't like them.
Don't hate the players, hate the game.

As far as a trainer he is pretty good coach/ trainer - that guy consistently puts out competitive teams and really good players year in year out ... if he didn't we all would not be talking about RB and his Arsenal teams ... they are very competitive and hard to beat... I'm not saying they are the best team ... but they are good at all levels (02's, O3's, 04's) SCSDL /CRL / ECNL ...EGSL is debatable for sure ... but there is a reason why all the major clubs scout and recruit RB's players ... because he builds really good players. I believe his teams are heavily scouted because any of his girls could jump ship at any time.

The only 'thang' I got's to say is "Sheriff, Arsenal is only guilty of reckless scoring on unexpecting opponents and breaking parents hearts and dreams of their kids raising the cup, at best this is only a misdemeanor" . . . I rest my case sir.

What RB does on the field doesn't affect my daughter and it really doesn't matter to me, other than the fact that he treats the girls pretty bad. None of my business, if someone wants to subject his daughter to that so be it. I am just putting my limited 02 cents and the stories I have from current and former players and parents. Rules are rules.

Again I don't know why people belabor this he has been like this for years. The only good thing is this pathetic coach and club will soon fade into oblivion as DA takes over. Those girls are awesome- they don't belong on an ecnl team.
Hopefully also at a DA controlled match their sideline will for once be controlled

Congrats to Arsenal 04 Egsl / Ecnl for making it to the Championship game in National Cup next weekend! It looked to be around 17-18 players Ecnl (Playing up on 03 Arsenal Ecnl) and egsl players. Good luck Surf, kick some serious butt out there!!!

The ECNL players were also in their CRL team and played in with this team in League when available. It was more of a situation of them getting pulled up to play ECNL than pulled down to support their '04 team. I got no issue here as the '04 team is playing Nat'L Cup (didn't petition to play down).

Arsenal 04 players get pulled up to play ECNL 03 for development and experience

The Presidents Cup and ECNL are two completely different leagues and organizational entities .

Just because these girls play up for ECNL 03 does not mean Arsenal is breaking any rules, the fact is that from a development perspective it's a good thing for the DD's - they are getting better because of it
