What's going on Cal South and State Cup Semi's?

A parent that coaches a Mex Lea team local to the IE markets a three girl package deal because he is making the long commute to AS. BW decides to keep team as an 06 then parent shows up with new paperwork. Does it really have to be spelled out? Some are choosing to bury their head in the sand but the bottom line is no one can plead ignorance to all the shenanigans in that team.

Why hasn't AS post anything on their State Cup Win? You would think they would post it on their Website or Facebook page. Hmmmm.

You just don't get it 2hearts! NOBODY is attacking or spreading rumors about 10/11 year olds. Wanting answers from ANY of the ADULTS involved is what is everyone is after. You don't have to defend your DD. We all understand when you say she worked hard all year. She had an awesome opportunity to play on the big stage. But, honestly, did she or her teammates REALLY deserve that opportunity? By what has been presented thus far, the answer is a resounding NO! If the kid in question was LEGAL, then she should have played. It's as simple as that. If there is still a shred of doubt on Cal Souths part, which by ruling her ineligible, there is, then the DQ should not have been overturned. Until real proof is presented to prove otherwise, you'll have to deal with reading about it on this forum.
If Cal South had decided to not change the ruling determined by their investigator this situation would know be a muted one. They opened the door for all to scrutinize the evidence that was handed to them. The argument that documents were provided at a late juncture thus changing the earlier decision by a previous poster were untrue. The investigator for Cal South had these documents before a judgement was made. A final decision by this individual was not final till they had the opportunity to speak with another club official who attested BW was no longer in their employment for trying to falsify documents. When said closed door meeting was held it was done without the Cal South investigator. In fact Cal South has not yet spoken to this individual since her findings and judgement.

I recommend emails to Barraza, Carlson and Quan. By all indications, Carlson and Quan were in the closed door meeting with Surf GC and that is the group that made this decision.

I can't help keep rubbernecking on this chain. With an admitted lack of knowledge of any of the facts here but In the spirit of The Onion and recent SNL skits, offer the following proposed interpretive guidance and safe harbor so everyone can have their desired transparency should a similar situation arise in the future:
Interpretive Guidance:
For purposes of State Cup gaming competition, the "age" of a participant shall be determined solely, exclusively and conclusively by a proof of age/birth document submitted by the member club in response to a request by Cal South. For the avoidance of doubt, "age" shall under no circumstances refer to the chronological age of a participant and shall be determined without reference to any proof of age/birth documents previously submitted by or on behalf of such participant to either the instant member club, any other Cal South Club, or Cal South. The proof of age/birth document to be considered by Cal South for State Cup eligibility purposes may be chosen by the member club in its sole and absolute discretion and, for the avoidance of doubt, need not be the same documentation provided to the member club by the participant at the time of enrollment or at any other time during the gaming season.
Safe Harbor:
Under no circumstances shall any extrinsic evidence be considered by a member club in determining what proof of age/birth document to rely upon or submit to Cal South, and as long as the proof of age/birth document was not physically altered or manipulated by the member club or its agents, the member club shall conclusively be deemed to have acted in good faith and, notwithstanding any other applicable Cal South rule or regulation to the contrary, any penalties or sanctions for violation of otherwise applicable Cal South rules shall be vested solely upon the individual participant and not upon the member club, member club's personnel, or participant's team.

1. You all got beat by a Bunch of 2006 girls. DEAL WITH IT
2. The player in question has provided more proof of her age than 99.99% of all club soccer players.
3. I have never seen this much whining since Hillary Lost so the way you all are crying I can only assume most of you are Left wing liberals who don't care about facts or truth.
4. The hatred being spewed over this issue will only hurt each one of you. It will not hurt AS or BW in the long run.
5. If your daughters are not over losing yet then it's obviously from you as a parent.
6. If you need grief counseling I am sure someone can be provided to help
7. Maybe you should protest outside of the cal south office with your Legends, Galaxy, or other favorite club bandana over your faces. I am sure you will feel better.
8. Lastly, all of you Oliver Stones out there just need to take a deep breath and let it all out...then go back to your life and try to focus on raising your kids again.

The evidence is mounting and no matter what BW is telling you he's not planning to loose his coaching license. AS/BW have made it abundantly clear they aren't taking the blame. So while they've all lawyered up, one thing to keep in mind, those shinny new birth certificates didn't get in YOUR book by themselves. Parents are not going to stop demanding answers and have only just started to blow this up publicly. At some point Cal South will be forced to blame this on someone. Once they've placed this all at your families feet you are done submitting documents, which means your DD will need to find something else to do with her time. BW certainly knew exactly what he was doing, so I don't want to see that happen, but if your not going to tell what you know then you deserve whatever is headed your way.
Apparently they won U8 Celtic Cup. The Crossfire picture at the bottom of the page with BW standing there with a champions medal around his neck as the "2006" girl sits feet away gleaming is pathetic.
Kudos to Cal South for creating a new low in youth sports. As you can probably tell the parents have no plans of just letting you sweep this under the rug.

Nowhere here do I see you address any of the key points raised. If she was really 2006 why didn't she play? Why did she have multiple registration numbers? Why does she have multiple birth certificates? Why do multiple people from multiple different organizations believe she is ineligible? Is there some grand conspiracy? What possible reason would anyone have to conspire against AS? What reason what anyone have to conspire against this girl and her family?
We are past the point where juvenile insults are going to get a rise out of people in this thread, so unless you're going to answer relevant questions with relevant facts you are wasting your time, and I'm not sure why you keep coming back to read or reply here.

Sounds like she has provided more proof of her various "ages" than 99.99% of all club soccer players. Most produce one document proving one age. She has apparently produced several documents proving two different ages.
Mr. Jackten: It's time to man up, teach your daughter some ethics, and turn in her medal. The taint lingers.

My question is why was this girl not allowed to play if she is truly an 2006?
What is the difference between this thread and the one that was removed? The one that was removed had a parent or 2 that claimed to be on the AS team state that not all families knew of an overaged player and gave some details. If true, this parent(s) implicated Anehiem Surf, the coach and register. This it would be in Surf's best interest to have it pulled.
Now if you look at Thunderbolt, who is his client? Surf is his client and he has no obligation to the parents and players on either SDSurf nor ASurf. I was wrongly thinking that he was on this board to protect the family accused of wrongdoing. But a friend corrected me.
So if Thunderbolt had a meeting with CalSouth, my guess, although it is an educated guess, is that Surf said that there are no facts that we knew anything about an overaged player and you can't prove it. Maybe they had this family take the fall for the team or encouraged them not to play? Either way, because people on this board said that the family does not speak English, I find it hard to believe that they would have the knowledge or the means to falsify a birth certificate if that is what happened. Maybe because they dont speak English, someone told them that their DD was grandfathered in to the team? Why would they doubt their coach and club? So now I have more questions like who was looking out for this families best interest? I doubt they had the knowledge that they should have their own attorney. Did Calsouth, AS or General Counsel inform them that they are not representing them? Not to generalize but the poor and uneducated are generally the ones left holding the bag. And going forward is this family going to be chastised? They may have been a victim in this whole thing too.
No matter how you look at this, some adults somewhere are responsible for this mess and should be held accountable.
