How’s the 2024-2025 season going?

Here you guys go with this nonsense. Are there more quality players throughout CA lb for lb yes. Taking four teams from one ECNL conference at u15 and saying what you said is reckless bordering on stupidity. Are you all still tight that your DD might not get on a roster because some girl from Kansas or New Jersey is a baller?

Teams are better in ECNL SW no doubt but don't conflate that with some notion that there are no indivdual talents being developed literally anywhere outside of sunny SoCal. This is modern futbol have you looked at what Japan is doing to develop players? Players can be made anywhere. Cali has lots of advantagous thats it correctly taking advantage of but pump the brakes on this outrageous claim.
I don't think you understand / comprehend the advantage year round training with high level competition provides.

And this usually starts when players are around 5 years old.

Simply from a number of steps or touches perspective by the time players are 10 it's double the number players from places that it snows can do.

That's why I went out on a limb on this. It's just my opinion based on my observations for this age group only. I cannot speak for other age groups but the one I've studied best. I've seenwhat the top east coast talent looks like and pound for pound it does not match the west coast talent that sits in those 4 teams today. Could that change? Sure yes ofcourse. I'm sure things smooth out over time but right now it's just my opinion from what I've observed.

The baller I’d pick is from Pennsylvania, not Jersey, but good point.

It does get a little looney here, but he’s not far off. Those four teams could almost field a starting XI just from their YNT call ups.

Know it well and we were in the eco-system until u13 in San Diego County. I stated an acknowledgement of all those advantages, weather is the most obvious but playing on grass and sand stengthens feet, mix in an overabundance of qualified soccer trainers, and some Western pioneering sturdy stock and yes there is something in the water I admit. The beauty of futbol that is it can be played everywhere and technique can be mastered with different flairs of style. SoCal is not USA's gift to women's soccer.

My greater point is Futbol is cultural if you're starting at 5 its becuase its in your family not becuase I have to be first in line for Marko at Surf when my kid is 6. Kids on the east coast playing futsal are getting just as many touches if they value futsal. West coast just discovered futsal it seems when Brazilians started immigrating to surf the waves in SoCal. This is why your dominance will continue it was the only thing keeping everyone else competitve with your sunny grass fields. Players grow evolve so claimin anything at u15 is silly, @Luis Andres, you know what you are talking about mostly so I had to respond cause it was out of character. @crush Go adopt a kid so I can stop calling you a creep for staying on these boards and talking about your 2005 DD.

Eastwatch out!

2004 dd dumb, dumb. Funny you talked about going to adopt a kid. Plans are in motion for adoptions big time. How did you know? Anyway, stayed here to fix the cheating from 2017 loser. When the men confess, say sorry and promise to never lie again to little girls with dreams, I will leave.

West Coast Rules!!!

Canada scared the US a bit at concacaf.
Some of those kids were left of the subsequent camps and now threatening to jump to other countries already.
that whole environment isn't that healthy to be in.

Binational kids who were left off the camp roster do look to join the other nation’s YNT squad.

The kids with options are gonna explore their options. I would, too.

My comment was more about the Federation, not the kids. Actually, all federations.
The rules can get sticky about sporting nationality and most federations try their best to lock the kids in. The US being particularly strategic about picking players and getting the kids enough official games to their sporting nationality.
Players need to be more thoughtful about their choices, esp the dual nationals.

You're never leaving, man, no matter what happens and no matter how many times you claim to be leaving, it aint happening

How much are you fools willing to pay me to leave? Obviously, the cheaters at the top don't want to say sorry for their cheating. How much?

An ECNL Southwest all star team would beat any team assembled with whatever 2010 girls from anywhere in the world. Start adding different years in the mix then yeah you’re going to have a challenge. Stick to only 2010 girls and its SW hands down. The continued dominance year after year of this conference in the playoffs speaks for itself. Sorry.

If its open tryouts - NO parents allowed at the practice facility and the team actually takes the best players - yes.

The original founder of ODP started ODP because he was tasked to find the 20 best 14-year-olds in Americal for the first time ever U15 USA Women's Soccer Team. First off, it's impossible to do that with size of a country like ours. Secondly, no coach has the time to scout all those players and pick the best of the best. Lastly and thirdly, girls under 18 haven't fully developed physically and what a girl looks like at 13 and 18 are two different girls physically. In my humble and honest opinion, California should have its own youth team. I would just call it the California State Team (CST). The rest of the States can combo up. In fact, the East Coast could have a team. To close with my opinion only (moo), I think we have a big Kickback business going on still in youth soccer. I saw it up close and personal in 2017. Bad, cheating and lying Docs who bang their way to the top and look for those willing to pay to play. The Doc had control for the first time ever and Mr. Doc got what he wanted. Good luck everyone.

and then it turned into having local "scouts" who were dads and then would get everyone from their team into it.
