G2010 - How’s the 2022 season going?

Seems like we would have seen these MVLA girls invited to the USA camps in Carson if they are playing up three years? Good for them if true. MVLA is definitely stacked at all age groups.
07's have a ton of injuries. They are playing up because no other MVLA team can afford to loan players to the 07's. This is more for necessity than development. They are holding their own for sure though.

I light of recent developments my pick is MVLA to bring home the natty.

Good luck to Surf Eagles Koge Blues Beach LAFC

Do Blues even have a chance anymore?

Injuries make sense. Can you imagine being a 2010 parent and losing playing time cause club pulled up 3-4 2013's?

Good point about pressure. I think Surf and MVLA still have a good chance as any as they are the strongest ball-possession teams. Hopefully for MVLA, they have the forward who usually plays the 09s play with the 10s. IMO she's one of the top 2010s nation-wide.
#15?
She is definitely impressive

Manchester Cup results were as expected.

Surf + Blues = finals
City + Rising = 2nd + 3rd

- GA team (CitySC) made it further than expected.
- Rising did well
- Sharks did worse than expected

I saw their last game and Surf controlled possession more but both teams had their opportunities and could have gone either way. That was before the Blues lost a couple of girls and before Surf picked up some Shark players.

I actually thought City did what was expected. I would have been surprised if they didn't beat CrossFire and Bay Area. Both are bottom half of their ECNL conference in Northwest and NorCal respectively and City is undefeated in GA Southwest.

Also MVLA 10 is playing Koge 10 in the finals of the Cerritos 2009 top division tomorrow. That should be a great game too.

Right - City SC is/was favored by several goals over both of the listed teams; it would have been much more surprising if it turned out otherwise.

Yep - looks to be a good game. MVLA 10 noticeably favored, but not nearly enough to call it a sure thing.

MVLA 07s are dealing with alot of injuries, but it escapes me why they don't pull 08s or 09s up to play. I know quite a few parents and havent heard why they are only targeting the youngers. Either way, good for the girls for have a little bravery to step in. MVLA 2010s-2007s are all good team.

The one '10 girl everyone is talking about did go to Chula Vista for the regional ID with the 2009s, but she didn't make it into the final 36 camp they just called in last week. I saw the list a few weeks back and was pretty surpised she wasn't on it. Same for an 2009 that plays for San Juan's 2008s who I've seen run rough shot over several of the '08 usynt players. I've spent enough time with a whistle at this age group in the various showcases, and up in Seattle last summer, that something else has to be going on with the scouting decisions.

The '10s have alot really good talent all over the US. It's probably the first really talent rich age group I've seen in the US.
Now, if we could just get the US to start shying away from the "U" syndrom I think we'd see some of these really good players develop even more.
The '10s will be up next for the talent ids, alot of good kids which will make their decisions even more difficult, or questionable.

Surf took out their main center back in the first half and seconds later blues scored. Other than that Surf looked like the stronger team, but as Vanman said, just couldn't finish.

let me tell you something about this 10’s mvla striker. She’s a great player and definitely one of the top players in the age group. But if she played in so cal she would not stand out like she does up north and she wouldn’t be the best player in the age group in so cal either. Comparing her to the 2009’s strikers that were chosen as part of the 36 is no comparison. They are better than her. She may be impactful versus the weak competition up north but has yet to show up in a big game vs any of the top so cal teams either.
