Early Red Card?
I didn’t have Pats beating Sporting 1-0 and Sporting’s Coach wanting to give the team back to the DOC on my bingo card either. Hats off to Pats for turning that program around. Sporting needs to get their house back in order before the rest of the cards fall.
Yeah pats are decent this year. Next year for them will be interesting if they keep this up as they will pull in even better talent and should level up again. It’s healthy for all to get even more SoCal teams up to the top of the heap.

Means nothing this early in the season. LA Breakers is in 2nd place on the Mojave side
They are not in second place but yes they are playing much better than last year when everyone knew it was an easy win. The league made an error with the standings and didn’t give blues their 4th win but yes pats are right up there good job for them! For sure!!!

Congrats to all of the teams that won.. it’s a good league when all of the teams are competitive.. no need to knock on 13 years olds.. the 2010’s are one of the better age groups, so much talent..
No need for parents to cause drama for their children and then have them get Kicked out of teams that they should be playing on.. If a parents job is to build a bad reputation for their kids then some are doing a great job.. I rather have my kid compete even if it’s RL and the team is bad then a good F1 team where they won’t see competitiveness..

Blimey, sounds like someone's been stirring the pot! I reckon the 2010s age group could give the Premier League a run for their money with all that talent! As for the drama, maybe some parents are auditioning for a spot in 'EastEnders'? But honestly, let's keep the theatrics off the pitch and in the telly where they belong. And to the mysterious 'sir' – hope the third time's a charm for you! Chin up, everyone, and let’s keep our football boots and sense of humour on point. Cheers!

I agree, 2010 has a bunch of talent. PATS have earned their spot at the moment, with the addition of a strong center back and strong forwards, they are on the up and up. Surf will always be a force. Koge is working out the kinks but I predict will be a top competitor in the near future, they have the talent, athleticism and depth. Coaches need to get their egos in check.

What’s the coaching component? It was only a couple months ago that the surf coach was catching a lot of heat on here….

I'd say Surf was going through a transition period. New coach, means a fresh set of eyes on his players. He was also probably assessing what works with what. Also, if you speak to any ECNL coach, they'll all say the same thing. Tournaments don't mean anything to them. It's all about league. Hence why some teams had a little more success in tournament play and are off to a slow start in league and vice versa.
Coaching does matter, a lot in my opinion. We are still in the start in the start of the season. Lots of teams will gain some steam, some will lose early momentum, endure injuries and likely return players from injury.

Koge has the goods to make a deep run this season. Coaching needs to move forward from last season and make the needed adjustments; they need to stop relying on old habits

If I were a betting man I would say surf takes it all the way this year
Surfs performance at the big summer tournaments wasn't ideal.
But, it seems like they've sorting things out + are back on track for winning.
Will the winning continue? Remains to be seen.

@Veritas you're extremely with MVLA.. do you think they can take down the Mighty Surf? I know they beat them on the finals but I wonder if you can project call that game either way..
