Chuck, I'm still waiting on the exact price it takes to run a team from the sidelines. Please confirm.

I had a reality deal in the works with Tad back in 2015....lol with the old age of 03/04s. No joke, I approached him with my business idea and he looked at me and basically said it would be a home run and he would lave it. Dads sure have a way get in the middle of things in club soccer. I would be interested in being a producer. Blues is the perfect place to film the parents. To be fair & humble, you guys really would have loved Crush and what I dealt with. It's cut throat and you could get cut at the seasons end and be replaced with another player. I wish everyone the best.Rumor mill is heating up with May 1st looming.
Spotlight is on Blues at the moment. I think most of the starters stay in tact, with the departure of arguably the best player.
The bench will be exiting stage left.
The blame game starts with the coach and the 2 dads that want to play the part of team GM's with different agendas, as well as competing futsal programs. Coach let this spin out of control.
Koge will be the beneficiary of star pieces heading to their doors. Blues/Eagles girls are knocking.
You guys want more updates? The 2010 ECNL platform is like reality TV at the moment.
I swear there is a Netflix show waiting to be made that would be a giant hit.

This has always been about dad. It's a dad's league bro. Dad coach, Dad on the board, Dad President, Dad TM, Dad GM, Rich Dad that buys the rounds so his dd will get play minutes, Sucker Dad like Crush who was just too nice, Poor Dad who gets taken care of buy the Rich Dads and Crazy Dad, who yells at his dd and other kids because he wants to win. I did have a Pissed off Dad who chased me into the parking lot for a fight back in 2012 State Cup.Why are all these teams blowing up right before the playoffs start? Do the kids even want to leave?!?!
So the Blues and Eagles Dads all want on the same team. Do these dads not understand that only 11 can be on the field at once?
Once again Chuck, you and your minions bragged on how you ran the show. What happened? Did you bounce the coaches check right before taxes were due?
Tell me that you’re joking…Chuck, I'm still waiting on the exact price it takes to run a team from the sidelines. Please confirm.
This is why I'm so happy my son stopped playing soccer and focused on football for HS. Booster money can buy your kid a spot on the roster but natural selection takes place at practice. There's no place to hide. My favorite drill is "Oklahoma". (Man in the Middle) In this drill the player gets to call out their teammates. Last man standing stays. Its amazing how the LB's always know who's daddy donated the most money. This has always been about dad. It's a dad's league bro. Soccer can hide players big time. Football, no way. Baseball is the same freaking way. Daddy can't pay enough $$$ if you keep striking out. Soccer coach can always find a place for daddy's star if he has enough to pay for play minutes. GDA was the biggest scam ever. If you pay, you get to start 25% of all the games. WTF? If you pay for extra privates, donate and buy golf balls, then your kid is set. The best way to develop your club team is for the coach or Doc to make friend with the right dad who can then do all the recruiting for you. This is not development, this is how to recruit 5 players from another team and then be the champs. This is why I'm so happy my son stopped playing soccer and focused on football for HS. Soccer's as everyone on here states its subjective and the coach controls what he likes to see. The best players and athletes are easily overlooked for mediocrity when dads greasing palms. Coaches who likes to keep a steady flow of income can hide these players around the field where their lack of ability, fitness and effort can be hidden.
Middle school or early HS seems to be the age of girls finding other things to do. Boys can be a big problem around this time. Girls want to please their old man and nothing wrong with that. What would please daddy the most? Watching their dd ball, win and not sit on that freaking bench with 10 other players hoping to showcase their talents. This is where the stars of today soon quit because of the freaking pressure from everyone and then other players come up from all their hard work and just kill it. For example, I know of a great kid who went from a "C Team" in 6th grade to YNT player and stud now at a top D1 program. The stars on the "A Team" quit playing soccer all together in Middle/HS because of many things. Injuries, boys and just other interest in life and I will say, "burnout" is #1.Crazy right? Every parent has their breaking point for their own reasons. I won't judge them for that, when the captain of the ship has created a mess no one should be surprised of fallout.
You are also correct as to Blues/Eagles/Koge girls wanting to bring in all that fire power as one force. Stars have egos and their handlers (dads) will be in for a huge reality check of where their kid lands in the pecking order.
Slow and steady wins the race. Some dads are acting like these games matter at this age group. Their are girls out there that are on much smaller clubs just chugging along to pop out of no where in 2 years and take some of these "star" players spots.
@crush can you speak on when girls begin to leave soccer due to burnout, pressure, crazy parents, politics as well as at what age you really see a more complete product of a player since they are in the midst of physical/mental changes. Please tell us of any super star players you witnessed when they were 9-13, burn out and fall off the map.

U13 is great place to start. The bar taps are in insane. The deals are made at the bar after some shots and always during after hours, usually after midnight. Pay for play is not always exchanged with money. Treating the coach to many thrills is the key to play time. Fat shaming starts around this age as well when the girl loses her speed and God forbid your dd starts her first period right before the scouts show up to a big game. I actually knew a coach rip into a girl who gained weight over the summer break and she was fat shamed in front of her peers. Then the boys start making fun of her because she grew up faster. It's sick world we all find ourselves in. These losers use girls to get free shit and a nice living. If you're a good looking coach with a nice accent and nice fitness, well, you gain access to other things as well. Money always works the best but........Chuck holds all cards and has for years. Just looking for a rounded number to level the playing field for everyone. He's been awfully quiet lately.
Its Girls U13 soccer. GIRLS SOCCER, not WOMENS. It ultimately does not matter!
You see it already at this age. The Dad or Mom wants it more then the player. These "Star Players" body's start changing and loafing through the season on being big or fast no longer works. But yes, it always circles back to a shitty captain. They pick and choose who they like and money speaks louder then talent. Bar tabs are also expensive at hotels. Coaches have a hard enough time paying for gas let alone drinks and dinner at a 4 star hotel in San Diego. These DOC's and Presidents are guilty of being worse then the shady coach. They continue choosing to turn the cheek since they will always be able to field a first team. Win lose or Draw the money does not change but at some point they will look into the mirror and know they have been worse then the parents for employing these coaches who get roped in for the $$$$$$$$.
Some advice for the lurking Doc's on here. Just come out to the team hotel once. Make your way down to the bar around 11PM - 12:30AM on a Saturday evening when its a big tournament. You'll find the clubs most corrupt coaches together with their teams parents having a good old time taking shot after shot together living it up like Greeks. Then on Sunday, pay attention to the kids who play the most or a coaches "tactical changes" where teams defenders suddenly become Strikers or Midfielders over night. In the end, blame the system everyone of us has created. We pay to have our kids play. Some just pay a little more then others.
Guys, I am on spring break and sitting this one out. Surf 10's have the opposite problem right now, too many good players on the roster. Age groups ebb and flow with good soccer players, and '10's are a particularly good birth year. I am sure the drama that is going on right now will settle down soon enough. I don't have any real intel on what is happening with the blues. That team is very good and unnecessary drama takes away from what should be pure joy. It is the coaches responsibility to manage and deal with the drama, but unfortunately they are trained in soccer, not team psychology nor crisis management.Rumor mill is heating up with May 1st looming.

Sit this one out? Weather is horrible for Spring break. The Blues will be find. When I was roaming the Ranch way back, let me tell you about the good players I saw every night. Olivia, Alyssa, Simone, Trinity, Sophie, Josie, Reilyn, Riley, Julie, Ella and so many more. Don't you guys have a open pool policy for all the best of the best around the West Coast? You guys at Surf offer full rides, right? Legends, Slammers and the rest of the best also offer free play and travel and these top clubs know how to recruit when it counts. Blues does not offer anything free unless your dirt poor and at around this age, the deals for free rides comes knocking on the Blues players and that is why mass exodus occurs. My dd was offered free from 4 of the 6 top clubs in Socal because we were promised free soccer in the GDA for the best of the best, just like the boys.Guys, I am on spring break and sitting this one out. I've seen this EXACT scene/situation unfold multiple times. Moms who never drink on the sidelines during games are suddenly drowning shots with the coach late night. Not to only pick on the ladies I've seen Dads buddying up to the coach late night playing the same game.Chuck holds all cards and has for years. Just looking for a rounded number to level the playing field for everyone. He's been awfully quiet lately.

This cuts both ways for sure. Poker on Friday night with coach and a few dads always changes things. First, dad buys the coach in and handles are re-buys and all the drinks coach wants. Dad then makes his move on coach after his 6th drink. Now, I did see some late night drinks with mama bear and coach on the road and I would go to bed wondering WTF was going on and this seems like a pay to play move and sus at best, since coach was married but. Yes, some Docs ended up dating one of the players moms and that is 100% a bad look, especially if dd went from the bench to starter after coach & mom hooked up. Dead give away, dead give away. One Doc I knew was a master at this game of "pay for play with mom" and he knew some moms will do whatever it takes to see their precious actually on the field playing in the big game. "Is there a Mr. Gump, Miss Gump?" coach would ask after taking his 5th shot as he tries to score. Lastly, one dad I knew was probably the smartest dad I know. He was able to secure a killer job for himself, free soccer for his dd + free travel and per diam for the road games. Player did not have to come to practice either and started every game.I've seen this EXACT scene/situation unfold multiple times. Moms who never drink on the sidelines during games are suddenly drowning shots with the coach late night. Nothing good (professionally) ever comes from high power drinks after 10pm.
General recommendation for coaches in this situation. The parents you're getting close with dont care about you. They just want to give their kid some kind of advantage. Also keep in mind that 5-10 other parents saw you drinking late with the buddy up parents + are pissed now.
Any truth to Abner, Blues Coach, being nervous and now actually recruiting for next season? This is something that his parents did for him… must be getting ‘real’ over there @Luis Andres
