I heard a defender left. Just hearsay. Then I heard there was another player (forward / midfielder) that left as well. It’s hard to know what’s really going on. Crazy to me to think people would be leaving with maybe 1-2 months left on the season from the #3 team in the country making a bid for an ECNL Champions League national title in lieu of finishing their team commitments and bowing out gracefully from the team after the season is over. Not sure what lessons were teaching our kids.
It all depends on where they pop up next. A couple posts have mentioned Slammers Koge. If this happens Blues gets weakened right before Champions League and Koge gets better right before Champions League + likely has a chance at winning it all.I heard a defender left. Just hearsay. Everyone has a breaking point when it comes down to politics and how much bull shit their willing to take. Maybe these clubs will learn to listen more next time when players leave.I heard a defender left. Just hearsay. Then I heard there was another player (forward / midfielder) that left as well. It's hard at this age. I remember I dropped a bomb and left for greener pasture and for safety. One bomb after another came after my first bomb. The one who drops the first bomb is always blamed as the club hopper and quitter and then when all the other bombs drop folks forget why the first one dropped a bomb.Everyone is quiet but the rumor is the bomb went off again. No details yet on which player. We’ll know soon. I got my sources working…
What bomb did you drop and why? Asking for a friend..It's hard at this age. I remember I dropped a bomb and left for greener pasture and for safety. One bomb after another came after my first bomb. Charlie, don't make me tell these stories again. I actually dropped a few bombs over the years......lol. MOABs was because Doc was a liar for one thing. I mean, when he spoke, he lied 99% of time I kid you not. Also, this Doc said if I and my dd didn't STFU we would get blacklisted because he knew everyone in the game. The truth is, he and the other Docs did know everyone in the great game and he told folks to stay away from us because I'm a hawk dad and taught my dd, "If anyone tells you not to tell daddy or mommy or this is a secret for just us, you have to tell us because that is a big red flag."What bomb did you drop and why? Asking for a friend..
There has been an @Luis Andres sighting above! . @Luis Andres, are you at liberty to give us any intel as to what’s going on?Charlie, don't make me tell these stories again. Chuck, I'm still waiting on the exact price it takes to run a team from the sidelines. Please confirm.
I had a reality deal in the works with Tad back in 2015....lol with the old age of 03/04s. No joke, I approached him with my business idea and he looked at me and basically said it would be a home run and he would lave it. Dads sure have a way get in the middle of things in club soccer. I would be interested in being a producer. Blues is the perfect place to film the parents. To be fair & humble, you guys really would have loved Crush and what I dealt with. It's cut throat and you could get cut at the seasons end and be replaced with another player. I wish everyone the best.Rumor mill is heating up with May 1st looming.
Spotlight is on Blues at the moment. I think most of the starters stay in tact, with the departure of arguably the best player.
The bench will be exiting stage left.
The blame game starts with the coach and the 2 dads that want to play the part of team GM's with different agendas, as well as competing futsal programs. Coach let this spin out of control.
Koge will be the beneficiary of star pieces heading to their doors. Blues/Eagles girls are knocking.
You guys want more updates? The 2010 ECNL platform is like reality TV at the moment.
I swear there is a Netflix show waiting to be made that would be a giant hit.
Koge will be the beneficiary of star pieces heading to their doors. Blues/Eagles girls are knocking.
This has always been about dad. It's a dad's league bro. Dad coach, Dad on the board, Dad President, Dad TM, Dad GM, Rich Dad that buys the rounds so his dd will get play minutes, Sucker Dad like Crush who was just too nice, Poor Dad who gets taken care of buy the Rich Dads and Crazy Dad, who yells at his dd and other kids because he wants to win. I did have a Pissed off Dad who chased me into the parking lot for a fight back in 2012 State Cup.Why are all these teams blowing up right before the playoffs start? Do the kids even want to leave?!?!
So the Blues and Eagles Dads all want on the same team. Do these dads not understand that only 11 can be on the field at once?
Once again Chuck, you and your minions bragged on how you ran the show. What happened? Did you bounce the coaches check right before taxes were due?
Tell me that you’re joking…Chuck, I'm still waiting on the exact price it takes to run a team from the sidelines. Please confirm.
This is why I'm so happy my son stopped playing soccer and focused on football for HS. Booster money can buy your kid a spot on the roster but natural selection takes place at practice. There's no place to hide. My favorite drill is "Oklahoma". (Man in the Middle) In this drill the player gets to call out their teammates. Last man standing stays. Its amazing how the LB's always know who's daddy donated the most money. This has always been about dad. It's a dad's league bro. Soccer can hide players big time. Football, no way. Baseball is the same freaking way. Daddy can't pay enough $$$ if you keep striking out. Soccer coach can always find a place for daddy's star if he has enough to pay for play minutes. GDA was the biggest scam ever. If you pay, you get to start 25% of all the games. WTF? If you pay for extra privates, donate and buy golf balls, then your kid is set. The best way to develop your club team is for the coach or Doc to make friend with the right dad who can then do all the recruiting for you. This is not development, this is how to recruit 5 players from another team and then be the champs. This is why I'm so happy my son stopped playing soccer and focused on football for HS. Soccer's as everyone on here states its subjective and the coach controls what he likes to see. The best players and athletes are easily overlooked for mediocrity when dads greasing palms. Coaches who likes to keep a steady flow of income can hide these players around the field where their lack of ability, fitness and effort can be hidden.
Middle school or early HS seems to be the age of girls finding other things to do. Boys can be a big problem around this time. Girls want to please their old man and nothing wrong with that. What would please daddy the most? Watching their dd ball, win and not sit on that freaking bench with 10 other players hoping to showcase their talents. This is where the stars of today soon quit because of the freaking pressure from everyone and then other players come up from all their hard work and just kill it. For example, I know of a great kid who went from a "C Team" in 6th grade to YNT player and stud now at a top D1 program. The stars on the "A Team" quit playing soccer all together in Middle/HS because of many things. Injuries, boys and just other interest in life and I will say, "burnout" is #1.Crazy right? Every parent has their breaking point for their own reasons. I won't judge them for that, when the captain of the ship has created a mess no one should be surprised of fallout.
You are also correct as to Blues/Eagles/Koge girls wanting to bring in all that fire power as one force. Stars have egos and their handlers (dads) will be in for a huge reality check of where their kid lands in the pecking order.
Slow and steady wins the race. Some dads are acting like these games matter at this age group. Their are girls out there that are on much smaller clubs just chugging along to pop out of no where in 2 years and take some of these "star" players spots.
@crush can you speak on when girls begin to leave soccer due to burnout, pressure, crazy parents, politics as well as at what age you really see a more complete product of a player since they are in the midst of physical/mental changes. Please tell us of any super star players you witnessed when they were 9-13, burn out and fall off the map.
