My other option for .308 would be bolt action since I don't have a stripped lower for that caliber. Or a Ruger SFAR and all I need to
add is a good scope and a few other mods and be done with it.

My 5.56 just sits in my safe, not very into it. Not really into 5.56 to be honest, it has its place just not really for me. Thinking a 12.5 .300 blk pistol would be fun but that might sit there after a couple range days also. Ive heard nothing but good things about the ruger sfar, exceptions being if you happen to be next to someone firing it but it's a high power rifle cartridge so the concussion is to be expected and their support of the atf. I use bcm uppers now. Used to use daniel defense but dont agree with them helping the atf either.
