I just got word from a source that 1 of their top players left the team. Rumor is she was seen training in a slammers uniform hanging out with the Koge girls. Reason for leaving is unknown but they are speculating that they did not get along with a few of the families. Not sure if Luis Andres had anything to do with their departure. But I guess current families are not sure exactly why this player left & was released before the season is over. Being a top player you guys think they may be effected by this? This is going to get interesting…

Midfielder. Arguably the most talented player on the team.
Blues parents are basically at each others throats and do not agree with the coaches game plan and rotations.
This is all rich people problems. Top 5 team nationally, but they can't beat Surf, therefore the sky is falling.
Expect the entire bench to leave. Too much talent rotting away not seeing any minutes.
Been around that team + I can see where the parents are coming from. The coach has a lot of very successful history. But recently doesnt seem like hes "all in".

I wonder who’s next to go & where will they go? If Koge picks up this player then that’s a plus for that team and they may just be the second team after Surf. I see they have a game in a couple weeks. This next game will be interesting. Surf for sure is #1 but that second place spot is up for grabs. If arguably the most talented player on the Blues is gone then it’s a wrap for this Blues team. The domino effect has begun. That’s a huge blow to their midfield.

So another parent run team. I'm still waiting for an actually dollar amount on how much it takes to control a team from the sidelines. Only Chuck knows that number but he wont tell.
At what point do the coaches actually nut up and make decisions? Why would any new team and club even entertain the idea of taking on Rodgers problem parents?

I’ve heard of rich parents control coaches before and get away with it too. I even heard of rich parents paying off coaches to give their kids extra play time and hold others on the bench. Is Rogers being dealt under the table or are they holding him for ransom… lol

Some teams get better when a good player leaves. Less drama and more chemistry on the field.

I guess we’ll just have to see. If this player was causing chemistry issues then things should be fixed but looking at their roster on the ecnl app and it seems to be #18 that is missing. I think she was the center attacking mid. That’s a very important player. I hope they have the right player to replace that piece since that is the playmaker and responsible for assisting the forwards. One of the most important players on a team. Could make or break a team if the wrong person plays that position.

Well maybe I spoke too soon. I was expecting a much closer game. Looks like they may be just fine without #18
Or, Sharks are in trouble with players leaving + needing to bring on replacements.
New players going from non GA/ECNL clubs to playing against Blues is a lot to ask.
Blues has a lot of depth and girls playing in off positions that can easily pivot into various roles including #18s spot. They also have a good farm system below of developing players who could also help / contribute if called up.
....but then someone else gets the money!

How many players did sharks lose over break?
One went to Surf, I believe another quit. Not really sure about the rest.
Theres a rumor that MW picked some up from ECS but again not really sure.

Can anyone confirm that the SoCal Blues lost, yet another starter? If true, what’s happening over there that families are willing to ask for a release, with about a month left in league?
