04s - Games of the Week

LAGSD 2, I.E. Surf 0
I know Galaxy and Eagles still have a couple games to decide the Gold division but for what it's worth Galaxy SD has been my favorite team to watch in CSL, although losing to them is never fun.

They can play possession or direct, they can slow the game down or hammer you with pace. I respect their coach moving the girls around and throwing different scenarios at them.

Props Galaxy SD, best of luck the rest of the way!

I agree with you. Galaxy SD is the team to watch with their great offensive line that has only allowed 2 goals so far. It's the team to beat. The mid fields are not bad as well with their 1-2 passing and their offensive line up is awesome as well, the Eagles have tough games ahead of them.
The Eagles might have scored a lop sided game with the Breakers but I have no idea what the coaching was thinking mix matching the player's position. Sweeper became forward and some forward became defenders, let's see them do that with Galaxy SD. I have my money on them.

Pele, what a ridiculous comment. The coach gave opportunities to defenders to play offense and vice versa because there was room to do it. It's called development

For someone who doesn't seem to enjoy the way the Eagles play you sure do travel a bit to watch them play. From Corona to Irvine if you are looking to make a move to the club maybe you should just call the coach. From what I've heard the group is finally healthy having key players out since summer none the less still going to be a tough match up with Galaxy. I'm sure you'll drive out to watch both of those games I know I'll be there for the second match, that's a must see.

Ridiculous to you as it seems, you want to develop a player to be forward, do it on a scrimmage or practice. Observe it there if they can be effective. Eagles have to be ready for your toughest game in a few weeks and changing positions and confusing your players right now isn't helping.

I'm sorry, but your logic is flawed in multiple ways. If your ahead of a team 4, 5 or 6 nil, you have the freedom to experiment and expose players different positions. If your tuning up for, "your toughest game" you do so in practice.

no excuses
We'll, it's an attempt to find reason where they may not be any, or any good one at least. upsetting when they don't play to their potential. They really are fabulous when they play with the whole team and in sync, a force to be reckoned with. It sucks, but it is what it is and hopefully not repeated.

So kind of you to be concerned Pele, but no worries. Our girls are not confused in the least and they are more than ready to meet the challenges that await them. See you next weekend at PV?

Obviously kicker you have the impression that as long as you are leading in points that you can have fun and mix everything around instead of mastering strategies with your core players for the "really tough teams". If you want to experiment do a science project. As for your opinion of preping for a tough game during practice obviously you haven't played soccer before. It takes talent and years of training with the same group of girls to be at their best. I have nothing against The Eagles team, they are a great group all together but who ever is running the show is not prepared for the "BIG LEAGUE". No offense meant just unsolicited advise.

I agree with Kicker on this one, too. At this age, you are developing soccer players that are capable of playing anywhere on the team. Yes, it starts on the training ground, but nothing beats real competition where you can truly put into practice what you are learning.

My DD's team has played Eagles many times over the years, and trust me, they get it. This is something that have done for years - and there is certainly no confusion.

How dare you Kicker!

Who do Eagles think they are moving kids around during games?!? The 2 games they have coming up against Galaxy SD are going to be to win the Gold division! The Gold division! You hear me Kicker, the Gold division! Winning Gold means a TON for next season, for Eagles not to realize the impact of winning big games is beyond me, this can have a domino effect that can possibly be felt for years. When the players and coaches are trying to work on development and different looks, what they fail to realize is that colleges are looking for players that are specialized at the earliest age possible. They're never going to move a player from one position to another so the sooner clubs realize this the better off they'll be.

Moving kids around during games.....who would do so a thing?!?

"Mastering Strategies," "BIG LEAGUE" These are young kids at a very elementary phase of development, regardless of where you think your soccer experience puts them! BTW shouldn't it be Peleisfutbol?

By this time and this age, the coaches and even the kids themselves should know the position they are good at, if not then you're in the wrong sports. as for my screen name, I'm not Brazilian so soccer is perfect. :)
