04s - Games of the Week

One of the most popular threads on the forums before they went down was the "Games of the Week". It was primarily a place holder for the league games come fall season, but it was also a great placeholder for the scrimmages / friendlies / tournaments that didn't get their own dedicated thread.

So let's use this thread to hype up league for SCDSL, CSL, SDDA, Presidio, etc.

Post anticipated games of the week a couple days beforehand, and post scores / observations during and after the games!
 
Friendly - Saturday 7/30

Strikers OC 0-0 I.E. Surf

Game was played at Lake Forest Sports Complex, Strikers was very versatile and moved their big centerback all around the field and she gave them different looks for different situations. Impressed with how fast they played.

Two rematch games Force 3-0 over Real in the Eagles Tournament and Blues Kale 1-0 over Surf EGSL in the CRL play in games. Additionally Arsenal ECNL ties Blues Dido 0-0.


If I had to pick two games to watch (other than my DD's) it would be Solar Chelsea vs MVLA and Force vs Real rematch.

This might be the year a non-SoCal team wins this. NoCal crashed and burned last year - same with Texas - think they are on a mission this year...

Hey Tech,

I was at the OC Premier / CDA Slammers game. Unless they were DQ'd for some reason, I did not see a forfeit. They played the full time. Slammers almost scored several in the last few minutes.

Santa Monica did not pay their tournament fees and forfeited their games.

My bad, I was tagging all the Santa Monica games as forfeits, got that one by mistake. Edited the original post.
