I wouldn't expend much energy on Rapinoe, let her have her unpopular opinion. Unlike her fight for equal pay, her teammates haven't come out in support of allowing TG women to play pro or national women's soccer. It is interesting how she has shown a stronger allegiance to the gay community than other women and her teammates despite her vigorous fight for women's rights and equal pay. She obviously identifies more strongly with being gay over being a women. This appears to be consistent with the woke community that favors gay rights over women's rights.
It seems that over the last year, as its become more commonplace, sports have become more restrictive in regards to TG women participation in women's sports, as opposed to being more open. I think a lot of sports initially punted on the issue if it hadn't impacted them, but more and more are going to have to deal with it in the future.
