Today in Fascism

You are talking RV dwellers, I’m addressing how policy got us and keeps us in this Walking Dead like atmosphere. If they can afford an RV they can also move to an area they can afford to live, no? Well, at least the small minority who want to get a job and a structured place to live, pay bills, taxes, etc.

Since you want to stay on topic, let’s go back to the beginning. Please with a simple yes or no, have you seen the homeless or unhoused situation in CA get better under Newsome’s tenure?
Actually, no. Take a minute to look up rent on a 2 bedroom apartment in your neighborhood. It will be above $3,000.

Then think about what two adults make as dishwashers or gardeners. It’s about 60K, total- assuming they both get 40 hours every week.

That two bedroom apartment would cost them well over half of their pretax income.

This is why you see scooters and little kid bicycles strapped to the back of the RV. You’re not looking at a meth lab, You’re looking at the home of a working family.

You lost him at "want to get a job and pay bills/taxes".

I guess there's no option to live somewhere 2 bedroom apartments aren't $3000 a month? Are these the same people that continue having children they can't afford?

Sure. The family could move to the bad school district with a 1.5 hour commute.

Mom and Dad are going to miss every soccer practice and every teacher conference. How well do you think the kids are going to turn out?

Yes, those are decisions that must be made. If you can’t afford housing, why are you having kids?

Why do you and the far left want to eliminate accountability in society?

Who the hell are you to tell poor people that they don’t deserve to have a family?

Far left? I’m arguing that the problem is the government. You have people who work hard and would like to spend that money on an apartment. Unfortunately, the government has made it illegal to build the apartment they want to pay for.

Get rid of the government intervention, and the problem goes away.

I suspect you vote every year for the same clowns who have been in charge for decades. The ones who at every chance increase gov oversight of every aspect of our lives.
Not really. I usually split my ticket between conservative Dems and RINOs. Sometimes I get stuck choosing between progressive and MAGA, but I don’t like either one.

It does amuse me that I am arguing for property rights and deregulation, while Slobo and Kicker are arguing for government intervention.

Pls show me where I’m asking for government intervention. I’m arguing that is CA’s government is at fault for the current condition of this state. Do you think the reason the highway signs in LA say “Watch for Pedestrians” along the freeway because someone can’t afford an apartment in Boyle Heights and commute 45 min to work?

FYI - my commute is roughly an hour because I chose to live somewhere I could afford. Still found a way to make it to my kids games and practices.

Hey, life isn't fair and has consequences. Not everyone gets to go to USC. They can go to the bad school district with a 1.5 minute commute, too. If the kid works hard, some evil and successful person will help pay the tab. Why? Because only people that worked hard and did it the right way have to pay for shit. If you can't afford it, don't worry. I don't live in La Jolla because I don't have $5M to drop on a house. I'll bet the schools there are pretty fucking good. Public AND Private. However, I DO have the ability to live within my means. And if I can't live within my means, I don't look to blame anyone else for it but me. Everyone should pay the same price for everything.

You and your party have created a massive problem because you're building a society of entitled victims. "WAH... I only make $40k a year. Why can't I have a $750k house and drive a $60k car like everyone else? WAH! Life is so unfair! WAH! Why doesn't bussing tables at Chili's pay $40 an hour? WAH! I smoked crack, lost my job and house, and now I can't find anyone to buy me a home. WAH! They put me in this 3 star hotel and provide everything for me but they want me to pick up trash and not destroy the place. WAH!

Government intervention? LMAO! I'm arguing for accountability. Why should people living in Newport Beach have to stare at low income housing? We both know what happens there. Cars on the lawn. Cars broken down. Theft goes up. Graffiti. I mean, cut the bullshit and be real for a change.

Government has proven ONE thing: They can't run a fucking lemonade stand. And democrats have proven that when they fuck up the lemonade stand, they come to me for more money to fix their fuckup.

You are asking the government to prevent other landowners from building apartment buildings.

That is a government intervention. The libertarian position would allow the landowner to build on his land.

Again….show me where I said ANYTHING remotely close to that?

I’ll wait……

LOL! You mean when the government intervenes with tax credits and subsidies for low cost/income housing?

Hunter’s Lawyer Responds to Bombshell “I’m Sitting Here with My Father” WhatsApp Message to Chinese Business Associate – And It’s a Doozy

Hunter Biden’s lawyer responded to the latest bombshell IRS whistleblower allegations and it’s a doozy. Hunter’s lawyer, Chris Clark, argued his client was just too cracked out and drugged up when he invoked his father’s name in a threatening text to be taken seriously. It starts at the top folks. We have a big drug problem in our country. Our Presidents son is addicted to crack and cocaine and is also making threats to China if they don't pay up. The middle class is now poor and living in their RVs. Poor people are now living in tents on sidewalks. It sickens me to hear about people who go to work or own businesses in these area's and have to watch people take poops on the sidewalk or go crazy on a telephone pole. I can't even imagine that. Pray for those who are living in the Streets of San Francisco and the streets of LA.

LOCAL MAN AGAIN CAUGHT TAKING POOPS
A deranged mental patient has been identified as the man known for taking perfectly formed poops from city sidewalks. Where he takes the poops and what he does with them remains a mystery.

You might see kid's bikes on the back of an RV driving down the road on vacation. You won't see that on a parked RV with four flat tires, totally beat to crap with a generator to the rear and a tarp over some of the windows parked on a street full of other RVs that look exactly the same on Alondra / Main in Gardena. Some of those might be working families. But just like many of the homeless encampments, they are people that don't want any government intervention because they will have to clean up and have to follow some rules. There was a big cleanup awhile back near Santa Fe Dam with hundreds of people living out there. Crime, drugs, prostitution run rampant. I think less than a dozen people took assistance if memory serves me correct.

Get rid of the government intervention, and the problem goes away.

1) Nobody is telling anyone they don't deserve to have a family. But wouldn't it make sense that if you can't afford to take care of the one or two kids you have, that you shouldn't keep having more kids? Who benefits from that?

2) Without any govt intervention the problem just gets worse. Quick example. Let's give drug users a safe haven to shoot up and give them clean supplies so they don't have to share needles and infect others with whatever diseases they are carrying. Wouldn't it make more sense to help those people clean up instead? Get them clean and sober. Find them a job. Turn them into contributing members of society.
