BTW, he wants to increase funding to the NYPD, alongside seeing if there are items that can be cut, such as the $80M communications budget. In tandem with that, he wants to create a new department to work alongside the NYPD with expertise in mental health and dealing with homelessness, aka the department of community safety. I've no idea if it would work, but apparently the status quo isn't working great either. I don't live in NY so I wouldn't know. Most of his stuff won't be inacted, assuming he wins the election anyway.

Until we start getting the mentally ill and drug addicted off the streets, nothing will improve. The current system on the west coast enables those suffering these afflictions to live more comfortably in their inhumane state. The only beneficiaries are those whose salary depends on their clients afflictions.

LOL... dog piss. Yeah... I'd agree the Gaslamp has seen better days, but I'm the guy that got drunk and stepped on the wrong trolley heading to Mexico awhile back.

Old Town is tasty and nice, right? It's been about 10 years for me as well. I never went past Del Mar when my dd was balling and going for #10 Natty.

Old Town is more of a tourist trap. A number of cool, gentrified or updated areas in San Diego with great food and community feel, like North Park.

Well, I forced myself to see a Padres game once or twice but there's no reason to go now that the Tilted Kilt closed. I've never met a more boring stadium full of 'fans' in my life. That said, there so many areas to like about S.D. Del Mar and Carlsbad are favorites. Seems like it just has it all, you know? Then again I JUST said Newport was pretentious. 🤔
