They have groovy blue shirts, but consider the obvious -- a huge federal workforce had to be created more or less overnight. Do you think they got only the best and brightest 50,000 of the unemployed to work for TSA?

Personally, I have been "selected" for secondary inspection while I was on a business trip as part of our project to develop a pocket device to detect WMDs (my travel partner (a US Navy Commander) and I found the whole encounter ironically humorous despite its obviously intrusive nature). On the same trip, a Tennessee National Guardsman drew his weapon on me when I had the boldness to set down my carry-on bag while I looked in my pocket for my ticket. In addition, my travel liberties to Canada and Mexico have been restricted compared to pre-Patriot Act days.

My wife's travels to Asia in support of her business have also met with travel complications. My son had to put off his annual fantasy-draft trip to Las Vegas because he did not have a Real-ID driver's license.

So fuck the Patriot Act's authors and the horses they rode in on.

How has the Patriot Act negatively impacted your life? Did it interrupt your kids education? Did it put conditions on your work? Did it reduce your income? Did it restrict your travel? Did it ban you from public places? Did it require you to stay at home? Did it force you to have an unproven medical procedure to work, or attend events? Did it prohibit you from visiting friends and family? Did you think about the Patriot Act everyday wondering when it would end? Did it prevent you from getting regular medical treatment? Did it prevent you from saying goodbye to dying loved ones?

Trying to compare the Patriot Act to Covid Lockdowns is comical. Plus you're here posting on social media and giving us details of your life (as you said before you could be easily identified by your posts) and you're claiming the Patriot Act has compromised your privacy. Give me a fucking break.
It appears that you are attempting to compare a natural disaster with a deliberate act by a group of people who swore oaths to uphold the US Constitution, and yet passed that intolerable Act in spite of their oaths and campaign promises.
