Nope. Member club of SOCAL announced internally that it was official.I have heard that all of the other leagues have agreed to push it a year and SoCal is the only one still thinking about it...

Fall 2026Is this SY change going into effect Fall 2025? Or Spring 2025?
Got it - thank youFall 2026
Because they dont care about the players and the big ECNL clubs want to take advantage of the situation. Possibly the worst possible choice that could have been made out of all options on the table. Or maybe it just presents an opportunity for all the smart parents to weed out the not so smart clubs to avoid. Why would US Club and USYS delay it until Fall 2026? That doesn't make sense if the decision is made in November 2024.
Has anyone heard that ECNL is proceeding with Fall 2025? Don't both SoCal and ECNL have the same governing body?Because they dont care about the players and the big ECNL clubs want to take advantage of the situation. I heard ECNL will start this Spring with some existing players to play down.Has anyone heard that ECNL is proceeding with Fall 2025? Don't both SoCal and ECNL have the same governing body?
ECNL and SOCAL both used US Club Soccer for sanctioning.Has anyone heard that ECNL is proceeding with Fall 2025? Don't both SoCal and ECNL have the same governing body?
My guess is that it is related to SoCals extremly early tryouts schedule. Before SoCal mandated a universal scedule like the letter leagues, individual Clubs would hold tryouts earlier and earlier every year. This was a tactic to lock in playrrs before the compitition each year. Eventually, clubs were having tryout in Nov and Dec PRIOR to the next fall season. The letter leagues have tryouts in May-June. SoCal should do the same, but they don't. If they make the change now, everyone will realize thier tryout schedule is flawed.I have heard that all of the other leagues have agreed to push it a year and SoCal is the only one still thinking about it...
Sorry for the confusion but is the speculation that SoCal will delay a year and that ECNL will proceed as early as spring??My guess is that it is related to SoCals extremly early tryouts schedule. Doesn't everyone already know its flawed and why not change it / why are the tryouts so early to begin with?My guess is that it is related to SoCals extremly early tryouts schedule. I really don't know what all the leagues are thinking. My speculatuon is it would be foolish for any league to be the odd man out. Which is probably why the competing orginizations (US Soccer, US Club Soccer, US Youth Soccer) are getting together to make a group decision. As far as I know DPL is under USSSA, and they have not entered the Chat. I'm not sure if GA falls under USSSA still or not, GA may now fall under US Soccer. GA experts will need to chime in on that. Anyone who does not fall in line with whatever is the top youth sports orginazation chooses is facing an uphill battle. That is what happened when DA forced the change; many were upset and disagreed, but realized they had to fall in line with DA or get left behind.Sorry for the confusion but is the speculation that SoCal will delay a year and that ECNL will proceed as early as spring??
What is the speculation on GA and DPL?

SoCal's tryout schedule is definitely flawed. Teams who play state cup have players who may have committed to other teams but are finishing up the tournament with the current team or vice versa. Quite an unusual position to put the players in when the tournament is run by the league. My guess is that it is related to SoCals extremly early tryouts schedule. GA is still USSSA and likely will do the same things that DPL does.I really don't know what all the leagues are thinking. My speculatuon is it would be foolish for any league to be the odd man out. So how would this work for players trying out this spring - especially those in a U13 age group who would be entering ECNL/RL/GA for the first time, but would play SoCal if they don't make that cut (potentially at the same club)? Seems like this would be complex - an individual player could be in totally different age categories across different leagues?
Especially for 7-10 year olds. SoCal has terrible leadershipSoCal's tryout schedule is definitely flawed.
