California Crazy

It’s a given that in a fossil fuel powered system it will be necessary to use petroleum in a multitude of ways while attempting to develop a future fuel source. Everyone, especially oil companies, knows one day the oil will run out. That’s when the shit will really hit the fan. The “no one knows but . . .” “People don’t realize . . .” is simply a call to ignorance.
Just curious how you answer the phone when "e" calls you.

In all, this continues to exacerbate the polarization that is increasingly felt throughout the country. More counties flipped from blue to red in the last election, and more residents voted Republican in California than the state had seen in 20 years, showing the changing nature of the vast state. But some counties are already showing signs of discontent with the Republican party.

That didn’t last long . . .

No bias from them at all..

"Yes, SFGATE (often referred to as the "San Francisco gate") is considered a left-leaning publication. Independent media bias rating organizations confirm this classification:"

That may well be the most, "c'mon... the deadline is in 12 minutes... just get us something for tomorrow." article I've ever read.

In summary, AdFontes Media aims to be a non-biased, data-driven source for media literacy, but like any human-led endeavor in the politically charged media environment, it faces some criticism that its results exhibit a leftward lean.

Depending on your source (ABC said 97% Fox 92%) exit polls showed that people who voted yes on 50 believe that congressional districts should be drawn up by nonpartisan groups and not political groups... how stupid are these people?

More nanny state BS. Do they not have anything better to do? How about fixing potholes instead?

You didn't read the whole article? Seems reasonable to me. The last place where we lived, the trash company would fine the management if they found incorrect things on their truck videos -- things like plastic bags in the recycling bin.

I just finished my morning ambulation around our settlement (doctor's orders), wherein I checked all three sets of bins. Some people are wasting money by throwing CRV items in the general trash (ours are split between our aluminum can crusher in back and the rest go to the recycling bin (there is a theory that Waste Management sorts them out and turns them in for cash)). The organics bin in the kitchen gets dumped every day (or more often when my wife is cooking from scratch). Our general trash is usually less than half of the total we put in the various bins.

Knock yourself out.

😆 I don't seperate anymore as it all goes to the landfill anyway.
Say it ain't so.

We're pretty good with separating cardboard. I don't know why Amazon uses giant boxes with a ton of packing material to ship small boxes.
