In war, if you chose to approach it that way, there are no winners. And if you daughter is a minor, and you are advocating that "he will either become a target", the price in SoCal might very well be a permanent ban (or if your club decides to stand behind you, a lawsuit and that club's eventual ejection from their league).

That's nature taking its course. If you don't belong there, or you're jeopardizing the safety/health of others, it'll be settled.

Taking my chances with a jury isn't narcissistic. You think there aren't parents out there that would do the same? Your mental or emotional illness isn't going to put my kid in a dangerous environment.

Disagree with you there. While kids are no longer allowed to throw each other in trash cans without the admin doing something, there still seems to be a bullying problem. And having seen my brother go through it, I can tell you you wouldn’t say “sticks and stones” if you had gone through it…some like crush are lucky enough to be strong enough to stand up to it…but what if you aren’t?. If anything, I think the situation is worse because (including both political sides) have lost empathy. I mean my god “targeting” a youth should be beyond the pale for everyone. No I don’t find targeting an individual athletes, particularly at the youth level, acceptable conduct. If I were to find out about someone doing that as a ref even outside this issue it’s a red card for the players, a suspension from play, and a report to league for the safe haven violations committed by the team. Have seen African American players in the val and I won’t tolerate it there either as a spectator. I see it there’s hell to pay and I’ll even whip out my law degree if I have to. Beyond the pale. The fact that you think this is socking and anyone nodding along with you is not one of the good guys. Evil.

Bullying isn't really a laughing matter for me. Have seen it happen to too many African American players. Not gonna laugh that off either and it's a poor excuse. What you said in dealing with a minor is reprehensible. If I saw it directed against any players the reds and yellows are coming out and I'd noted it and bring it up to the league so there would be team/club consequences. If you were a parent on my kids team, I'd raise holy hell. And if I were a spectator, I'd be prepared to defend that youth. Inexcusable. Nothing funny about it.

p.s. I would much rather be a wet blanket at parties than the guy cracking the off colored joke that no one wants to hang around because he's cringe.

But it was a common practice in WW2, on the US side because it predates the jet age and it was difficult to get female performers up to the front (though there are records of them appearing in the UK)

Who said I'm defending them? I'm just pointing out it was a common practice on both sides of the war, with the exceptions, IIRC, of the Italians (those Roman Catholics!) and Japanese (who preferred to seize and rape actual local women). It's well documented and the Gipper (who I'm personally very fond of) even went along. It doesn't have the connotations you think it does.

Do more research on some of the German scientists and the MTFs of their time. I'm not here to talk about a few Navy sailors that dress up as girl. You can talk to espola about that. My buddy was on a ship for over a year and told me some insane stories of men who dressed like girls and were passed around.
