Oof, I would not want to be in a group where you have Legends/AZ Arsenal as a 3rd seed or SD Surf/Slammers HBK as a 4th seed.

are you referring to the Champs league seeding ranked 1-44? Or that the teams are already being bracketed in A-K brackets?
ECNL usually announces when they will reveal the seeding match ups. It would be entirely uncharacteristic for them have their act together this early.

There seemed to be an error of them uploading 90% of the brackets Yesterday, they must have caught the mistake and took it down rather quickly.
The brackets were up and quickly taken down. After the conference winners the draw was random and some groups are loaded with four top teams while others had no top teams. It was bizarre so my hope is that it was not the official draw but there were no conference conflicts so I believe it was 'official' but published too early and taken down.

I've always heard the draw is random.
Solar vs. Surf in two different age groups last year looked like it was for maximum youth national teams . vs a random draw.

The round of 16 is made up of the 11 group winners and then top 5 teams were in second place.

This group probably won't produce a 2nd place team that will qualify for the round of 16. It would be hard to believe that any of these matchups will produce enough goals or a goal differential that would put a team in that top 5 spot of all the 2nd places teams.
One of the teams would have to have a really off game and be taken advantage of at the same time.

I have found that many ECNL teams that have Spring soccer tend to struggle at ECNL playoffs so if you drew those teams that did, added bonus for you.
What I am following the most is VDA 09s. Next year, they could be an early favorite with three USYNT players and last years Club Coach of the Year taking over at VDA. They will still be good this year but are in one of the toughest brackets.
PDA Blue has no guarantee through group play with Arizona Arsenal.
