Remember very early on when it was pointed out the gov/press and @dad4 and others thought it was a conspiracy theory that deaths were overcounted related to covid. As in died due to covid vs with covid. It was rightly pointed out at the time they were counting people with covid as covid deaths...thereby inflating deaths.

I ride with a group of guys who some of them work in the medical industry. I suppose you could call them "bonuses". The reality is that they were being compensated for the additional costs incurred in treating covid patients because they had to be isolated even from the medics caring for them.
I was just passing on information given to me in a security briefing in advance of a planned trip to Russia (the trip never actually happened, thank goodness). The point being discussed when I brought that up was whether it was realistic to think that Russia had spied on t when he was just a big businessman.

Plenty of hospital systems and their executives took advantage of the rules to upgrade their facilities. Sure, some of that money was certainly needed to re-purpose facilities within hospital systems, training on new equipment, and the cost of material associated with patient treatment. But don't think for one minute that federal funds weren't pillaged for one reason or another. Health care is a business, a nasty one at that. Opportunity everywhere to make dollars. Plenty of brave healthcare workers and plenty of corrupt executives.
