Most election denial comes from the left. One only has to look at Bush, Bush again, Trump 1 and now Trump 2. If we are to add up denial, it comes far more frequently from the left.

You will eliminate a lot of the deficit getting rid of waste, fraud, etc. So much of what we spend is totally unnecessary. A program gets put in place and just grows and grows. Our departments do not run efficiently by any stretch. What is telling that even talking of cutting waste, fraud, etc. put the D party on the vapors. CA on the state level over the past few years has spent 24 billion on the homeless with literally zero to show for it. Another endeavor was to spend billions on low income housing...with virtually all the money spent and basically no housing built. CA has spent billions on billions on the high speed train with virtually nothing built. Same crap happens on the Fed level.

  • Business loves outsourcing as it is more profitable. Shareholders love it as it drives value. Neither care about its strategic fit or whether it hurts the US or not. I would say that the H1B program and tech outsourcing is far more detrimental to the US strategically than manufacturing, but that was shut down quickly when it came up.
  • Yes. I see they are removing clean energy subsidies in the BBB, wonder if they are going to remove the fossil fuel ones too - combined, we could probably save $30-$40B annually, split pretty much 50-50, that's be cool.

Its just a throw away phrase that sounds good and none of these pols can or has substantiated it. DOGE cancelled stuff. It was approved and funded. A lot was probably BS, but that's not waste, fraud or abuse, that a difference of opinion. The volume/value of fraud to have an impact would be colossal, and yet I don't see a deluge of new cases. Where is all the waste? Where is all the inefficiency? If its that obvious surely it should be simple to identify and eliminate?
Fwiw, I agree that there is likely waste in federal spending, but I hate unsubstantiated comments. For example, I find it fascinating that the defense budget seems to have an unwritten rule whereby 49% if the spending is internal and 51% external (MIC). If it goes up, the ratio always stays the same. That makes no rational sense to me. Its also hundreds of billions annually. Likewise, why do we give out tens of billions in corporate subsidies each year to hugely profitable companies, that makes no sense to me.

That's all in the last 15 years or so.

The Freedom Caucus in the House is the "extreme" right-wing element, no? It was founded in 2015 with 9 members; it now has 45, so 5X as many in 10 years.

So I do find it very odd when anyone says one side has shifted but the other hasn't (really). They both have, and neither has done so "slightly".

That's fair but abortion went to the states and, frankly, the current republican mentality stems from what Biden did (or more importantly didn't do) the last 4 years and Trump's first term was in response to 8 years of Obama. I don't think you'd be seeing people yanked off the streets if Biden hadn't done what he did with the border. They impeached Trump, went after him with bullshit charges like hush money for a porn star and made every attempt to keep him off the ballot. Sorry, that's personal. And I'd be willing to concede the whole Obama birth cert thing was just as bullshit as anything else.

Do you accept or disagree with my premise that Biden brought illegal aliens here for votes? And do you find it a bit ironic that Biden flew them around the country, in the middle of the night, but now dems have a problem with Abbott and DeSantis doing the same?

Give Israel bunker busting bombs and let them take care of it. I'd be reluctant to get in any deeper than that. It may be unavoidable if Iran executes a serious attack against one of our bases in the Middle East.

I could be totally wrong, but Israel likely won't stop until Iran's nuclear capabilities are completely eliminated which could lead to a long drawn out conflict. It sounds like Israel doesn't have the deep penetrating weapons to wipe out the one nuclear facility, so they'd need our help with bunker busters.

America is for all intents and purposes already in it. I have to believe we have shared considerable intel with Israel, if not strategy.

Democrats would love to get rid of firearms outright..although they'll tell you that's not true.
Instead they chip away at our rights here in CA. Ridiculous laws and ridiculous fees to law-abiding
citizens and gun store owners..in the hopes that both will go away. Another ammo tax coming next
month. But let's look at a few current ones.
Gun Roster. I can buy a Gen3 G19 but I can't own a Gen5. But LE can. A few cosmetic differences but
both shoot the same 9mm round. I also can't buy a tan colored pistol in some instances but in others I can.
Again..they both do the same exact thing. Tons of guns on the roster that LE can buy but the average person
can't. Long guns and hand guns.

Magazines. Limited to 10rd mags here in CA. Most other states (other than the highly restrictive NY and
Massachusetts plus a few others) allow "standard capacity" magazines. Show me a convicted felon that
follows the magazine restrictions and I'll show you a person who shouldn't be in possession of a firearm
in the first place. Some of this BS legislation was overturned by Judge Benitez only to be over-ruled by a higher
court of liberal judges. I wonder how many criminals have 30rd AR mags.

Ammo. For years now we've had to go thru a background check just to buy a box of ammo. Ridiculous!!
Just another ways for Dems to screw with law-abiding gun owners. Do you think criminals walk into the
local Big-5 or Turner's and go thru a background check to buy some ammo? In fact many Big-5 stores are
phasing out their firearms/ammo sales due to the hoops they have to jump thru. But then again..that was the
goal for Dems. Get rid of guns.

a dick move. So much for looking out for public safety.

Storage laws. Gun shows cancelled. FFL Owner/operator restrictions. The list goes on and on.

You're also in TX. You know how liberal the gun laws are there compared to here. Unless you don't own any guns.
