How to Make the Jump from RL to NL

If your daughter doesn’t make the ECNL team by u14, and is stuck on the RL team at one of the big clubs like Surf, Kobe, Legends, Slammers….take the hint, hint….and you want to get recruited to small D1 or D2/3, go to a mid-tier ECNL club or top level GA. The big clubs ECRL teams do have talent, and they are lead along and train with the ECNL, to keep,that revenue in the club. But the big ecnl clubs will attract top players (like USYNT movements) and those will be the types joining the big ECNL clubs at 15-16 years old.

I am so glad my kids don't want to play in college. Less stress.

Take a look at the colleges that popular clubs are sending their girls.. it's not impressive. Most of these girls could go to a much 'better' school just by applying and then walk on to the team.

Parents could also drop a 50k donation on the school to get their kid in front of the admissions line.

The general idea is that soccer will open doors at college and ideally knock some of the cost off tuition. If you're walking on you're probably not going to get a scholarship.

The cheapest way to get into the best colleges is to have really good grades and test scores. This makes coaches lives easy because they dont have to worry about admissions or eligibility when players play for them.
