How’s the 2023-24 season going?

Those rules and agreements aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. I knew of a player who was on 3 ECNL rosters in the same season and played GA.
I never read it that’s what I was told. ECNL cannot approve the transfer or roster add so it’s really on them

I just checked my sources. Blues is prob going to lose the majority of their starters according to my sources. Blues made it to Virginia last year very true. This year they may not make playoffs and for the first time ever that team has a negative goal differential. According to my sources last season they lost one of the top playmakers in the age group and she went to Koge but that team was still able to stay competitive and make it to Virginia cause they had the other top playmaker in the age group. The player that Murf referred to as the straw that stirred the cup on that team. Once she left end of season that Blues team offense fell apart hence a negative goal differential tells you that they are not creating the scoring chances like they did prior year. No way they make Virginia this year and if they are lucky to stay in third and make playoffs they will just be wasting parents money. If my daughter was on that team, I’d be praying not to make playoffs to save my 5k. Worst thing is to go to playoffs and waste money and time. While Blues are not bad defensively, offensively they have fools gold and can’t produce. Regarding Legends they show 24 on roster but have like 6 girls out due to injury. I’m sure there will be adjustments to that roster soon. If you look at their roster now they have added 1 Blues player that was a starter and that mid from Blues last season who Murf referred to as the straw that stirred the cup. Legends could be a top contender next season especially if they pick up the the remaining Blues starters and possibly this season the Cinderella team of the playoffs that has a strong chance to possibly make Virginia.

I don’t know you personally but you seem like a reasonable dad who’s just trying to do what’s best for their kid just like many of us here are doing as well. But you are correct my source said he knows someone that’s a close friend of yours. One last question is she just playing with girls for the summer? is she going to continue with boys next season? Can you provide feedback on what it’s like playing with a high level boys team? Pros and cons. I’m curious since I also wanted my daughter to play with some high level boys team. I just don’t think she would make the team lol. Did it make her a better player ?

I don’t think it’s appropriate to discuss specific details publicly. But if you really want to know you can dm me and I will be glad to give you my feedback so it helps your daughter. Publicly I will say there are definitely pros and cons and it’s not for everyone. Some of the attributes needed are discipline, self motivated, mentally tough, technical, athletically fast with a strong core balance. Referring to age 13 and older. Under 13 it’s not a problem. Maybe losing out on potential friendships with other girls.

That's why they play the games!!!

Hey mates! Jimmy here back from the land of dodgy doctors and even dodgier painkillers! Took a tumble and lost a leg in the process, but hey, at least I can still barrack from the sidelines, eh?

These parents here are going at it like it's the World Cup final! Settle down, chuck another snag on the barbie, and let the girls have some fun! Sounds like the Blues are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard this season, and the Legends are all frothed up over nothing more than a cuppa tea. Let's see how it all washes out on the pitch, shall we? Might be hobbling there on a milk crate, but you can bet I'll be there cheering my voice hoarse!

That's because it's bigger than the World Cup Final. Our kids are playing! :p

Two interesting races to end the season. Surf/Koge for the top of Sonoran, and the Eagles/Beach contest for the last Mojave playoff slot. Have fun out there.

My prediction for this season is that one of the 2 best soccer playing style teams in the nation Surf or MVLA take it. My hope is the girls have matured, are now bigger stronger and that Koge’s physical advantage that they had last year will not be so dominant. If you limit the corner kicks and set play opportunities near the box for Koge, they will struggle as a soccer team. They are a soccer team with big & fast athletes but not many great soccer players except for their 1 mid that went to the USA national ID. She’s a complete soccer player.

What's your never to early predictions for 24/25 season for 10s? I know both of our sources are legit but not 100% right. My wife's niece is balling out in the IE. I will not give away the name, but she will be playing up with Legends from time to time.

You clearly haven't seen Koge play in a while. I do agree that Surf and MVLA play the best soccer around but saying koge has one complete soccer player is inaccurate. One player does not make a team at this level.

I've watched a few games this season. I do recognize an improvement in their ball movement. I think they have amazing athletes but 1 player that today has the potential to play on a youth national team. I do not see that from the rest. At least not yet. That's what I mean by a complete player. Plus I'm looking forward to a new team winning it this year. I have a biased towards teams that connect well together, they usually don't win early in the 11v11 stage but tend to do better over time. Nothing against Koge but they ate their cake last year already.

interesting is she a 2010?

I can't spill the beans bro.
So she must be a 2011 that plays up. I'll check with my sources to see who that may be. But regardless, I do not think Legends will take it this year or can beat surf, koge or MVLA at this current moment. They can hang but not yet beat them. They will need a few key pieces to be a contender. They don't have a 10, they could use 1-2 more strong forwards. And also they need a solid 8. Maybe 1-2 more strong defenders. They are solid defensively, they don't give up many goals but still make silly defensive mistakes every now and then from what I've been told.

Surf and MVLA have been on top for a few years at this age, they arent some under dog teams. Sometimes luck is on one teams side in a given year. What would be amazing is if an east coast team came in and won it all.

Koge won the national championship last year and beat Surf last week. What do they have to do to win a little respect around here?

Top 3, no question. Keep them far away from my kid's group.

They are definitely a contender. That Surf vs Koge game could have gone either way with surf owning possession and generating more chances. I never said the team is not good. All I said that individually there is only 1 player this moment that in my eyes is ready for the youth national team. Others have potential but are not yet complete players ready for a youth national team. Only 1 player from Koge made the USA national camp. And they had less players than Blues, Surf, MVLA attending USA ID'S

Complete Player:

A complete soccer player embodies a blend of exceptional skills that make them a standout candidate for national team selection. These athletes excel in technical abilities, which include adept dribbling, precise passing, accurate shooting, and effective defending, allowing them to handle various in-game scenarios proficiently. They also possess a deep tactical understanding, capable of adapting to different team formations and strategies while quickly identifying the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents. Physically, they are equipped with the endurance, speed, agility, and strength necessary to maintain top performance levels throughout a match. Moreover, their psychological makeup is marked by mental toughness and leadership qualities. They remain composed under pressure, exhibit strong decision-making capabilities, and can inspire teamwork. This combination of skills not only makes them invaluable on the field but also primes them for potential roles on national teams, where versatility and consistency are crucial.

In Socal 2010 group I can count these players with 1 hand. The 1 mid from Koge, 2 from Surf, the infamous Mak (USA 09 Team) & the girl that plays with MLS boys. They fit the complete player category
