RSF is nowhere near the caliber of Rebels. RSF played a lower bracket with B teams and SDSC 3rd team. RSF should not be in the top 20 AT ALL! Play with the big dogs, Albion, Surf Select. Rebels, even SDSC orange, they’d lose. RSF kicks the ball up to the forward and they have a couple of plays.

The top 2010 players discussion is interesting to me. Something different than Luis arguing with everyone, or debating team rankings. Here’s who I think are the top 20ish players:
Top 3 in no particular order: Blues #6, SDSC #17 & #12.
Best of the rest: Eagles, #9, #5. Blues, #10, #7, #2. Legends, Both Forwards. Ole #2, #12. OC Galaxy #19. OC Surf #10. Slammers PA, CB and RW. SD Surf CM.
And, a little love for the Keepers- SD Surf, Eagles, Blues, Ole are all very good.

Who did I leave out?

7v7 standouts through my eyes.

Blues - #7, #10 #27 and some other numbers I don’t know. The goalie play is well too.

Eagles - CM, defenders and the goalie plays lights out majority of the time.

SDSC - they have multiple players like the blues

Legends- the 2 forwards and 1 defender

Slammers PA - the CB and right winger / forward

Albion - left forward and another girl that plays RW or CB

Galaxy OC - The CM and little forward and have a pretty good right back

Ole - definitely not #2 () the forward and the goalie had 2 great games the times I watched her

OC Surf - they have a 2-3 really good players

SD Surf - same as above

Hawks - have their forward very aggressive and reminds of legends forward.

Temecua Surf has a great CM / forward

I’m sure I’m missing more studs and please add numbers to the list.

CDA Crowley's Goalie is a beast and then #11 (She played everywhere, good player)

Albion, Force, Rebels and SDSC being later today / tomorrow

OC Surf has a tryout this past weekend

Blues has tryouts a couple of weeks ago and always on going

Sharks, City SD And Surf SD will have tryouts in January
 
I watched the Legends vs. Eagles game. It was a great game and both teams were working hard. I did talk to a Eagles parent and he said that the lineup was changed since they were missing some players. It looked like the fast midfielder and forward were playing in the back. It looked like the Eagles didn't have any subs.

I would put the top 5 as Blues#7, SDSC #17 & #12 and Eagles #9 and #5. They are no particular order.
 
The only video of any playa in this age group I've seen is #2 from Ole. I have to say anyone who is cracking the SC Blues RR players ankles like the video shows has my vote for #1 player in Socal for this age group which=#1 in da country. Anyone else have good video like Luis? All I read is about players #10 from Blues and so on. Video evidence please.......

I feel like this is pretty subjective. What one person might think is top notch, another might not. I think worth mentioning is, Rebels Elite # 2 right wing, she’s fast, multi - position player, CB and forward. #11, quick feet, smart passes, very technical. Surf Select # 6, CM...work horse! # 7, right wing, fast feet, comfortable with the ball at her feet. #17, #12, & #3 SDSC. Really they are all good players, but #17 CM stands out, technical, strong fast, great second effort. Blues, # 10 “the wall” #12 RB, she’s quick and doesn’t stop until she’s taken the ball or ran you out of bounds.
 
There’s a bunch of videos on YouTube of SD teams, there was someone who used to post full length games. Search SDSC Orange G2010, a lot pop up from the person who posted the games.

Weird response. Just going by what I saw against the #10 team and looking at their results they beat #19 twice. So in my estimation that puts them closer to #15 than outside the top 20. Did I say they are the same caliber as Rebels? I suppose State Cup will sort out final rankings.

1. How long ago did they play Surf Murrieta?
2. Surf Select vs RSF Green was 4 months ago. Note, they played twice that tourney, and 1st game was a Surf Select 6 - 1
3. They don’t play Tier 1 teams, you can’t compare apples to oranges.
4. RSF Attack is playing in Governors, not Presidents.
I’m not disputing they aren’t a good team, they are for a tier 2. In leagues they were undefeated, but SD Surf academy came in @ #2. Whether or not they easily beat them is one thing, but they are also playing (b) teams and a 2011 team they played twice in league. When they play, Eagles, Blues, Legends, Ole, Slammers, Rebels etc. then we can agree, that they should be in the top 15.

5) Both EDA and Empire need to go down. After the 0-8 loss to Eagles that will really put a dent on them. They got some defensive issues to work out. All I can say is that the last time we played them over summer my DD ran through the middle swiveling like a snake so easily that she scored 3 goals herself in a period of 10-15 min between 1st and 2nd halves.
6) Anybody else can see any other adjustments in top 20 ? Or missing teams?

Slammers PA isn't even on this top 20 list...and this is why these rankings are a joke. There are other glaring misjudgments that I won't even bother going into.

This may be the 1st time I’ve agreed with Luis. The point of this tread is to talk about the season. Best teams, best players will be a part of that conversation. Yeah, asking for people to submit videos may be a bit weird, but recognizing great players – nothing wrong with that.

Luis, any way you can post the entire game from Ole/Blues on your YouTube page. I’d love to see it, not just a couple minutes of smooth criminal. It looks like you may get two more cracks at them this weekend, although Albion and OC Galaxy are definitely no gimme.

It’s been confirmed, my buddy (dad) SDSC Navy G2010 confirmed #12 and #10 have committed to SD Surf Select. We had tryouts last night and it was said, and confirmed. Remember I said purple headband 3 weeks ago would be making the jump. Hopefully SDSC can get an equally or close to player to replace her. She will definitely make an impact on the team with her departure.
