great game by both teams. We had the winning goal at the end went slightly wide. Eagles score on a ball that goalie fumbled.Bo Jackson scores a phenomenal goal 2nd half and almost gets the winner too. My DD has her moments but was closely guarded but like always solid game. No rest played complete game.

first off I don’t have anything bad to say about the Eagles girls. They played their game and competed like always. They have a great group in the front that attempt smart passes and move the ball. They just play it safe getting out from the back. They been in so many big games and that’s why they can play consistent with anybody anytime. They proved to be a Tier 1 team by winning some big tournaments and games. They can beat the Blues or SDSC and games are always competitive.
As far as our team. Coach played the starters a good portion of the game. And strategically played subs, moving pieces here and there but not disrupting the energy and mental state that was built by the current team on field. Girls defended well. Attempted passes but it was really hard to play that possession game when the game was so physical and gritty. Similar to first one. A much bigger field this time for sure. Girls did a phenomenal job with effort and not giving up on plays. I felt that a few of the subs could have been a little bit more active when it came to responding to bounces off the ball and just being first to the ball Instead of ball watching. Eagles are great at that. They react fast and follow through on plays. And that’s how they scored again. Goalie fumbled the ball and they were there to clean the play while our sub was looking at the ball same way as previous game. But hey it is what it is and they are learning and hopefully within time they get it and improve on that aspect. The effort was there by both teams. It wasn’t the prettiest game but it’s how it is at times.
As far as the penalties, Eagles been there before. It was our first time. My DD made her shots cause we have practiced before and she is great playing under pressure. A couple of our players simply choked. Starters and subs combined. But it’s understandable, first time and the nerves got the best of them.
So here is the Eagles goal. The player hits the ball towards the goal. Not a hard ball or anything that the goalie can't catch. She is not able to hold on to the ball. Ole players are ball watching. Eagles player is reacting & running towards the goal. Ole may have had clearer opportunities overall throughout the game but the Eagles were better in reacting to lose balls. They are great at that and will punish you when making defensive mistakes. That comes from their experience in the big stage. 2 Ole players much closer to the ball , yet the Eagle's player gets there first. Now you tell me If I'm talking out of context here. I know they are 9 years old but so are the Eagles. That little girl from the Eagles running to the ball was clearly aware of the moment and knew that the play wasn't over just because the ball was in the air and about to be caught by the goalie. Props to that little girl, she deserves all the credit for her reaction to the play.

Hustle plays win games but shooting from the center line center line won't work past this age.
Again looks like you guys lost from the style of big kid kicking the ball up over the top to a fast foward from the back.
Great game break down Chalk lines. Goalies always get the blame which I kind of like personally. My goat had two really good looks yesterday and the other goalie saved them. Everyone tells my kid, "oh, nice try." If our goalie lets one in everyone hears about it after the game, especially the poor goalie. No one talks to my kid about how to finish better...….just sad and unfair
We actually lost in penalty shoot outs, game was tied. A loss is a loss. But I get what you say about next season and these types of plays not working anymore. This is the kind of stuff that I love to capture on film because it allows my DD to identify what they could have done differently to prevent something like this in the future. She looked at it and said, “they need to be more aware of other players running and be able to get there first to save the ball” I said great answer.

Some parent from our team once asked me. Why are you always looking at the mistakes and breakdowns in past games, shouldn’t you be focusing on the positive things from the game? And I told him a year ago. Because this is how I can raise the soccer IQ of my child by going over breakdowns and mistakes in plays and then asking her what her and her teammates could do better next time to prevent this. So while everyone else is capturing all the beautiful goals and shoving all the breakdowns and mistakes under the rug, I’ve been doing both. There is a reason why my DD has surpassed her teammates IQ wise as well. And it comes down to the little things like this. What most of you consider taboo. There is nothing wrong when kids make mistakes. There is something wrong when you don’t make them aware of them in the process and they continue to commit them

Surf will be canceling certain groups for the tournament this weekend. If you are doing the flight 2 g2010 bracket you will be affected. They will try to reschedule all the games on grass fields. Turf fields are still on.

Finally the administrator approved my account. After waiting days and seeing on here what this chump has to say. First of all do people know why you haven’t been coming to the games? Did you tell them why? He made a scene at the Slammers tournament over the summer. His darling dear blew a pass on a semifinal game and the other team scored. He flipped the fxck out. said he was done with the team and made a whole scene on the field In front of everyone. Supposedly he’s been watching games live on his little camera cause the team manager banned him from the games. Haha chump. He claims to know it all. And he thinks he is some soccer guru. Yes I admit his little girl is good, best player on the team and everyone has said it to him and now he thinks he is the Don and the reason why she is so good. I got news for you. Your not the one training her. You just fork out your money to make her good. He spends hundreds of dollars taking her to camps and all these other places and then tells the rest of the team they should be doing the same but not everybody can afford it. He’s dropped thousands of dollars into her training. And expects the rest to do the same.
I remember when KC, Olivia Moultrie’s Father was with the team last year. They had their little one playing there. Those two would sit on the side and analyze & criticize the players. Who’s good and who has the potential to make it to the next level blah blah blah. KC would say things like if you want to see how the little girl will end up in the future just look at the mom. Pointing to the heavier set ladies and then claiming that they had no chance to play college soccer because of genetics. That chump KC would feed this guy Luis Andres all this crap and he would swallow it all up. KC thought Olivia is the best thing that happened to women’s soccer. He’s turned her into a soccer slave. No social life whatsoever. These guys are whackos. Just cause they have really good players they think they are untouchable.

Didn't pull out, they were dropped. Tournament dropped some age brackets and reduced others. They dropped SDSC because they are "closer" and didn't travel as far(hotel money). Also, they can use it as a recruiting tool when they try to get their players. Weekend off for them.
Yes, this is true. SDSC was dropped because they are local. Most of the teams that got bumped were flight 2. Also, I wouldn’t under estimate SD Surf Select! They have really kicked up their game and they have this dope little blonde center mid that is pretty special. Smart player, serious soccer IQ.
One more thing to note, didn’t SD Surf Select beat Ole @ State Cup last year?
Luis, I Ike how proud you are of your DD! There’s nothing wrong with constructive criticism. However, these are 8/9 year old “little girls” please don’t forget that. Most will stop playing due to injuries or hormones. I would hope that parents aren’t pushing their DDs because of their own ego. I would also hope that one isn’t banking on a soccer scholarship as a means to pay for college. It’s disappointing to see parents bash other littles girls because they aren’t as skilled as the more developed player. Remember, 1 standout player isn’t the team. A team is a group who can work well together and each contribute with the abilities that they were given.
Wow Vic, throwing some serious bricks at Luis. I think Luis had this coming to him. KC is spot on regarding how the scouts scout dna and genetics. I had one Doc tell me and my wife that top coaches look at MaMa Bear and how she looks. A little intimating for her but she looks hot and passed that test last year. My dd is 15 now so scouts can now see the what the future will look like after full majority has set in. When we send emails to top coaches we send a pic of her mom too so they can see the truth
You two need to be nice to each other. Ole all the way in 2020!!! I really want to see a local team stay local and beat the Eagles, Real SC, Legends, LA Surf, OC Surf, San Diego Surf, Sherman Oaks Surf, New York Surf, Covina Surf and East County Surf and Liverpool all the Galaxies and the Beach down at the South Bay
