G2010...how’s the season going 2019?

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves at the Turkey tournaments this weekend watching all the goats play. Happy Thanks giving to you all. Love to see my SC Blues in the driver’s seat right now. Very strong as usual. Thank You @Luis Andres for sharing the Blues game link with me today. Ole came back strong today with that 4-0 final score from what I see, against the almighty Surf team. I don’t see Surf beating the SC Blues this afternoon either. I expect a Blues vs Ole finals. May the best team win. Go SC Blues. Make us proud....
I’m routing for the underdog!! Ole all the way!!

Surf won’t be almighty until they’ve recruited over and over to bring in the goats. They have the dough to market themselves not to mention those fields that are so exclusive.

No trolling here. Just cruising by in my 64. But would like to add to the coaching conversation at Surf in that age group. AB plays a more direct game and has typically picked athletic and players with pace. Having seen Surf coaches from U8 to DA not all are inline with possession.

@Luis Andres

Happy Thanksgiving.

My girls been in her warm house all weekend eating pie and hanging out with her teammates who all had the weekend off. Thinking of getting in some black Friday shopping in a bit. You know, small club problems over here but at least my family can enjoy the holidays with out worrying about who has the best 9/10 year old teams in the nation and if games will be played in 3ft of mud and freezing temps.

Remember to be thankful this time of year for what really matters and take it easy on your DD. When 11v11 starts in a few more years not a single person will care about what happened when our kids were in diapers bringing home plastic trophy's from cash grabbing thanksgiving tournaments.

On another note, SDSC G2010 Navy are getting a new coach. For the better! He’s seasoned, Coach is director of the girls you get and in charge of HS soccer for the past 16 years. Hands down more experience than Coach W.

You guys need to get ECNL. How come no ECNL?

It will be a battle between David and Goliath. If our side defenders make the proper positioning adjustments to throw the ball out the the sides instead creating corner kicks we should be fine and be able to compete. If my DD pushes the pace through the middle lane and goes straight at that big girl and uses her lateral quickness to get by to create passes and shots we should see better offense. If our strikers and my DD can better play off each other creating 2v1’s and 3v2’s they should see success. This is the classic big girls playing direct ball vs smaller average girls attempting to play possession soccer. I see it like a Chile vs England game. It’s possible as Chile has shown that they can beat Top European teams with strong, fast & tall athletic players by moving the ball and playing tiki-taka

Because those around SDSC have gone out of their way to make sure it doesn't happen. Threats, etc because they know that is the one thing they have. For now....
Or maybe they don’t value the girls the way they do boys? Why else is their a DA for boys and. Or girls?

So other clubs are looking for nonathletic, slow players?

I vote for SDSC. Rebels, Sharks and SDSC. When my dd was u10 and u11 SDSC had a very strong team. They almost upset my dd blues kickball team back 2016 at State Cup. It's not really kickball is it @Luis Andres? I think it's what most folks in the soccer world would call, Direct and Physical Ganas style compared to the Ganas style of possession and play from the back. I prefer passing the ball around like the movie "Hoosiers."
