G2010...how’s the season going 2019?

Who the hell are you and how dare you come here insulting me like that. Wait wha, you are going to let me have it when you see me. Wtf I’ll give you my number. Call me we’ll meet up anytime any place. Punk... first of all who are you and how dare you come here making threats at me. You are the one making things up. Are you a Dad on the team. And if you are why can’t you say it to my face. You hide under a name and come here and insult me. You better check yourself. You are the rookie here and you can’t just come here flappin your mouth like you own the thread. There is thread edicate and you need to follow it before opening your upper lip. I got mad juice here and I’ll have Dom kick your ass out punk
Luis-

If you made a big fuss over my daughter's mistakes, I'd also be mad at you. Based on the posts here, he probably isn't the only one.

As it is, I can just wish you a good day and say I hope our kids both have fun next game.

On another note, I wouldn’t come at these Eagles dads hard or critique the girls out loud. I witnessed 2 big ass dudes choke each other out because one said something about their DD. No joke!! They were on the same team. This was a year ago. Keep those comments to yourself, don’t get caught up in the smack talking, doesn’t look good on a grown man coming for some 8/9 year old girls. Not saying you do that, because I need to hear it for myself. Just a heads up if you jump ship and end up at Eagles.

Yea but the way he spoke seemed like he could be part of the team. He either had some inside info or something cause the vanilla ice things was true. It was a joke... lol I came in one time like that and the look on everyone’s faces was priceless.

As far as the Slammers tournament, yes I had a bad moment. I’m sorry for that and it was my DD’s decision for me not to go to games. I had a long talk with coach apologized and then we decided that it’s best if I watch the season live on my camera to not make her nervous. I felt so bad about it. I still do. But not gonna happen again. All players can make mistakes but it hit me hard that day to see my DD make one and blow a game that ended in a draw. She told me I made her nervous that day. So it was my fault. But she’s ready to have me back on the field. As far as the KC thing. He was a bit out there but much of what this dude is mentioning is over inflated.

Is this you bro? Nice ride...….

Yes recovery is important. But I don’t agree that most the girls have caught up on skills and technical ability by just going to team practice. The girls that keep training outside of practice keep getting much more technical and skilled then the ones only attending team practice. I can tell you that on our team a couple of starters from last season became bench players now since they only go to team practice. And the a few bench players from last year the are doing the extras are now starters. The separation will become even more evident from the ones that do the extras and the ones that don’t, if they don’t jump on board and train outside of practice.
I don’t know, Luis....I know some girls who get all the personal expensive training and there isn’t any more improvement than the ones who train 3-4 days. These other girls are multi sport players and are just as kick ass.

Luis, i think you take this football biz way too serious, but I give you props for owning your s@%t! These little babes have a lot of years ahead and pushing them to always go hard can lead to injuries. I hope we all pay as much attention to recovery after a hard game/practice. I know some girls go at it hard 6 days a week. Futsal, arena, 3v3s personal lessons, speed training, you name it. Guess what, that only for these girls ahead by a season, because now most of the team has caught up on skill and technical abilities.
@Luis Andres where you from dude? I have a buddy from Brazil and Grandpa to talk with about how real soccer is played in other countries. They don't understand the pay as you play here in da states. Please enlighten us amigos how Gods game shall be played oh great one...….these dads beat our das back in the day. No way we can compete. This is new batch of daddy. BTW, my dd tells me to shut up. Sunday my wife told my goat, "keep trying, your amazing" after she let her team down by not finishing her ankle break away. She looked right her and said, "please stop mom, that not amazing........No joke...…......….. I love my kid :)

Did your dad and grandpa correct you, cause in Brazil....it’s futbol!

I shared this before @Luis Andres but I will share again. Keep it to yourself bro. I've seen some big ass PaPa Bear full fight because of someone pointing out the obvious. Keep it to yourself bro.....

I’m telling you, these Eagles dudes choked each other out. It was crazy, sad though, cause these little girls ran off the field screaming scared. Remember, most of these girls won’t be playing in 4-5 years. They go through “female” changes and quit out of no where. Everyone is guilty of thinking their daughter is the next USWNT player.

Sorry if I gave you that impression. I think Surf came up and are a solid team and I’m sure will be even better after they recruit. All I was saying is don’t under estimate them. They’ve tied Blues. SDSC is where my heart is.

This is 100% Truth Speak. The age to fool us dads and kids is around u10-u11 but maybe earlier now. I'm watching mine change right before my very eyes and its awesome but it's also true they will decide. I love how females are. I thought I could teach mine to play like a boy, oh boy, no way. This is all nonsense and I think I'm helping Luis. It's my mission to calm him down and help build Ole into a local powerhouse. Stay Local and play local!!! Let the girls be girls and girls :)

@Sockers858 or anyone else. So now that the tables have been turned. What is your prediction for the 2 teams that make into the finals?

Predictions
Blues vs Ole
Surf vs Blues
SD Surf normally plays Blues in a tight game except the last game.

With Blues Tryouts finishing a couple of weeks ago, I can see them with some new faces on the sidelines. I’m just guessing though and RR is always in recruiting

Utah Surf BB won their last tournament and either been finalist or championship in tournaments this year. They have lost in pool play and bounced back to win or be runners up. A different Utah team came to Surf Cup last summer and got smashed.

Sitting in bed getting ready to go to sleep but I can’t. Got the Eagles game on my head right now, like if I’m the one that’s gonna be playing it o_O

@Luis, despite what you think, it's a bad sign when you are laying awake at night fretting over your 9 year old's soccer game. It means you are way too involved and living vicariously through your DD. I know that you think you are helping your DD with extra training, analyzing games with her and everything else you've mentioned in many posts, but most of the experts would disagree with you.

Please take a look at these articles, just a few I've found helpful in changing the way I interact with my DD. I'm still not perfect, it's really hard, but I think I'm much better at U14 than I was at U10. It's a long road with many twists and turns. My DD's been playing club soccer at a high level since she was U8, and she still has 4+ years before she potentially steps on a college field (if that's what she wants). It's a marathon.

From the first article:

"Hundreds of college athletes were asked to think back: "What is your worst memory from playing youth and high school sports?"
Their overwhelming response: "The ride home from games with my parents."

"The informal survey lasted three decades, initiated by two former longtime coaches who over time became staunch advocates for the player, for the adolescent, for the child. Bruce E. Brown and Rob Miller of Proactive Coaching LLC are devoted to helping adults avoid becoming a nightmare sports parent, speaking at colleges, high schools and youth leagues to more than a million athletes, coaches and parents in the last 12 years.

"Those same college athletes were asked what their parents said that made them feel great, that amplified their joy during and after a ballgame. Their overwhelming response: "I love to watch you play."

The problem w/Surf is they have 4 girls on the bench and they all get equal time. The girls get in a rhythm and then gets witches out, no chance to get momentum. If they want to play to win. They need to not be fair in these games with the equal time.

You are right on the money with this! I would rather put my $ into academics, than putting all my eggs a scholarship. I’m sure that’s not the case with Luis, driving his GT!!

RR is the man. Hardest worker I know. Never hides and is always in plain site. Makes many parents of teams with top goats upset because their trying to recruit and sell their services.

Blues v Ole is the likely final, but things can always happen you don't expect. It's a shame this tournament got neutered. I was looking forward to a couple of the matchups .. particularly SDSC vs Surf and Ole who have never played each other.
