@Hodari after what you said why certain Players were making a futsal team because they were Latinas then you know for sure this was gonna get personal. You started that shit so I fired back. You want to settle this in person let’s go. But you started this shit… and this does not excuse you for what you did on IG..that’s a whole other subject matter
I generally like to keep it light on this thing, but “firing back” is no excuse to go in on someone else’s 12/13 kid for her height and then to go even lower by belittling her accomplishments as being meritless and a byproduct racial preference. Pretty gross and appalling. Do better.

Agreed! There’s no place for bigotry… I don’t care who ‘started it’…

So the Blues and Eagles both lost? Let the drama begin.

Players and parents must be checked out on both teams. There's typically truth behind every rumor you read on here. Both coaches should be fired since ultimately they are the cause for individual teams demise. Doubt either have had a parent meeting to fix things because that would mean being called out by over half the teams parents. AR has a nice resume to back and show he can actually coach his way out of it with recruitment but for the Eagles they seem too small and Jawara's lack of experience isn't going to pull tallent over to fill the holes.

Do these coaches not understand the parents who have been greasing their pockets are not their friends. It's nothing more than a short term pump and dump. Coaches You're all being used and parents who don't play the game will all move on even if you come crawling with scholarships in hand when everyone leaves.

The unanswered questions being over looked right now is how many players are leaving the Slammers to account for the kids coming in? Who's the top dog parent GM pulling all the strings over there? Is it really the ODP Winter connection I'm hearing about causing the super team to come together? Is it true both these clubs have told parents no more ODP because of this?

What you’re seeing is a group of crazy parents that have met each other through ODP camp + are now all working to get on the same team which appears to be Koge Slammers. I knew the truth would come out eventually

if you’re on Koge right now start looking around because the people that want on your team are going to play games like “if you don’t boot xyz our group of 3-5 players won’t come to your team.” Also it’s likely that deals have already been made + if your coach hasn’t reached out to assure you that they want your kid on the team next season you’re in trouble.

All this is happening because OC/LA parents want to beat Surf + will do anything to make it happen.

Are these type of actions good/bad for soccer? I’m not really sure. Maybe this is a way for top talent to be highlighted. My gut tells me that these are crazy parents + are going to cause more problems for ECNL in SoCal than they solve.

Not disputing what you’re saying one way or the other, it is a plausible theory, but I’m also hearing that none of the players that obtained their release from Blues played for any of the other rumored ECNL destination teams this weekend (were not allowed to play?). Can anyone confirm this based on games watched yesterday? Wonder if Blues is granting releases but then opposing transfers?

Some clubs offer free rides starting around this age Carlsbad. The B, C, D and E team parents pay full rate so the other top players on the A team can play for free. I wouldn't call these parents crazy. Their ultra competitive because most parents were born to win bro and some will do whatever it takes to win. I remember some Docs at ODP working the crowd of parents. Parents sit together and dream of the super team. I watched Doc after Doc talk to parents to come over to their greener pasture that is also a place to roam for free. Free travel, free gear, free soccer, a job and per diem for on the road and all drinks covered at the bar. That is hard to beat. I'm telling you if a Doc can secure one influential parent to make the move and the other girls like that player, then that Doc will go, "Hey dad, I'm looking for a GM. Give me 5 phone numbers of goat parents and you will receive a prize and a good word from me when college coaches scout your kid. Do as I say and all will go well for you. Cross me, and I will make sure your kid get's blacklisted." Be careful who you follow is all I can say.

P.S. Watch out for the Doc/Coach that promises a roster of only 18 but then does the lie and adds 22. 4 x $4000= $16,000 extra $$$ for lying. Add privates and your looking at some extra side hustle cash that makes a Coach or Doc lie about having only 18 on the roster.

I get what they're doing + how it works.

What I'm saying is in situations like this clubs arent even trying to develop players. They're looking for the biggest fastest talent that other clubs have developed. This is why its going to cause problems for ECNL in socal. You're setting up a situation where clubs + training dont matter only super teams do. For leagues to work there has to be a reasonable level of parity between all teams. This is what makes things exciting. If you know that team A is always going to win clubs will start looking elsewhere. Also if certain clubs just steal talent over and over again other clubs + players/parents will look elsewhere to play. (Enter GA)

Short term vs long term gains.

Can someone post a general link for that final winter odp roster or is that against the fourms policy since it narrows down the problems of the blues/eagles/Slammers based on a players name? There's a clear connection to that roster and everyone involved who's ruining what's left of this season for everyone who's not involved.

Yes, I’ve heard that this is true.. I don’t think #18 played for Koge yesterday.. I don’t think the other starter played for her new team either.. I think it’s a case of blues doing what’s best for them and not the kid and their families.. and yes, Blues are delaying transfers smh.. or is it ‘Stratergery’ LOL

The rosters are out in the public domain and pretty easy to find if you search.

DOC can approve a player to be released and play on another ECNL team. So long that was the case #18 would be allowed to play since the roster freeze has not been initiated.

Did they develop them or just recruit them first? Biggest, fastest talent was not developed bro, it was already there from birth.
When you are at a moderate level club that doesn't attract the cream of the crop players there is no other alternative then develop what you have and hope it stays.
Based on the work in progress its about 2 to 3 years some players a bit sooner. Unfortunately it's a survival of the fittest in the soccer world in this case it's the big clubs Blues, legends, slammers, eagles, surf, etc. From what I hear you have to spend money to make money through scholership players. Win in the big arena and everyone will follow right? Rare are the teams with true player and parent chemistry. But it can happen. I enjoy being a part of two age groups 08 girls and 2010 girls. But since 2008s group is silent I'm here putting my two cents in. We're just the little fish in the big pond but I think there is hope we grow with our team. At least I believe come somewhere close with our home grown team. Just trying to inform myself of what uppershelf soccer at 2010 is like.
What are your thoughts of a player playing 2 years up? I'm sure you all have all the elite players on radar. God I hope I didn't blow my cover lol.
