When I rushed home (to Poway from Kearney Mesa) in 1980, the bushfire reported at the end of my street (I heard about it on the radio) was burning away from us (because that was where the arsonist had lit the fire) following the wind toward Penasquitos. My tenant and I walked uphill with garden tools through the Daley Ranch grazing land digging out and extinguishing the things I noted above until dark.

Maybe so, but Edison has already stated that they did not shut the power down because the wind speed was only 49 MPH -- they shut it off at 50. There should be some records of the condition of the power system including transients coincident with video records of the fire starting, if such a thing happened.

100% K & S. It's what makes crush a problem for folks like espola and Husker Du. espola liked my speech writings in 2018. It wasn't until I used a Bible Scripture speech where he told everyone I was the first to be ignored by the Forum Fascist. He even asked Dom to ban me. I took it as a compliment. My speech on saving kids really pisses some people off. I try to use my speech to share about kids being kidnapped, raped and even worse and people want me to STFU. My speech about saying no to Jabs cost me everything. These losers hate free speech. I will never stop speaking and writing. They & Them will have to catch me first and then rip out my tongue and cut my hands off. I will then speak with my eyes and light these losers up!!!

There’s always a conspiracy trail that leads directly to the feet of the opposition. Even actions, events or ill deeds admittedly attributable to one’s own side can be blamed on the other, “well it had to be done because . . .”. The endless cycle of we are right and you are wrong never gets anywhere.

Again, they soiled the meaning of words again worse than Biden’s underwear. In this case, it’s “conspiracy theorist”. Recently, I noticed a slight shift. When a leftist was at fault, I saw blame put on “the two party system”. Fascinating, considering how long CA has been run by one party. I’m guessing that didn’t get the desired result as we are back to “conspiracy theorist”. Might be time for them to throw something else at the wall to see if it sticks as well as Biden’s drawers.

100% TRUE. Newsom called CHP and told them to toss him out from the ICP at the Palisades Fire. How this hasn't gotten any traction in the news is beyond me. He took Cybertrucks to Altadena Station / LASD so they'd have trucks to use as charging stations for whatever they needed. He also brought portable chargers for the trucks themselves. Cal Fire was told they'd better not be using the Starlinks on any of their rigs. LACo BoS were also marching to the same beat as Newsom and wanted no help from Musk. I'm betting if he'd never left CA and wasn't apart of the
Trump Administration that they would've welcomed his help with arms wide open.
Good to see our politicians putting their personal issues first before helping the citizens who lost everything.

the residents who lost EVERYTHING.
And for those that happened to make it...this becomes their problem now. They survived the fire. Now they have to try and survive the mudslides without the natural barriers in place that used to be there.
I don't know that the exact percentage is..but I can tell you we have fires EVERY DAY here in SoCal / LACo due to the homeless.
710/105 fwy. Every morning and every evening there are fires here.
105 fwy between the 110/405 fwys.
405 fwy around LAX.
605 fwy as it runs parallel to the San Gabriel River. Some spots worse than others.
Antelope Valley. Homeless encampments and also large RV encampments in the middle of the desert.
Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area. From the mouth of Azusa Cyn down into the Dam area itself.
Whittier Narrows Recreation Area along the 60/605 fwys.
^^These last two areas lead to the biggest fires due to the area/fuel available.
The homeless are exempt from most laws. They're an uber protected class. You and I would be ticketed at a minimum if we did the same things. We were written up for not having a small fire related sign, meanwhile the homeless behind the property had a "campfire" and the FD did nothing.
