While I agree, it's really the players choice. U15/U16 is where they should take more ownership IMO. Are they ok potentially being low in the depth chart and working their way up or would they prefer guaranteed time at a lower level?Makes sense. Just cant imagine committing to one of these teams if my kid isn't upper tier and won't have to worry about being rostered on the weekend. (competition is good and all, but not signing my son up to not play)
IMHO this is on the club, not the kid. The club should provide both meaningful training and game-day experience. If that means guesting/dual-rostering, so be it. It's definitely about $ and any good coach will admit that..IMHO this is on the club, not the kid. The club should provide both meaningful training and game-day experience.
