Academy season

I'm not trying to make this about Barcelona. You win on that one. Alba is a Super Star! Let's go back to the Strikers and Galaxy and developing.

These are the most important questions that needs to be answered.

How many players from the Galaxy 2003s come developed from the Galaxy youth system? Besides the 2 original 2003s that also developed on Cosmos and at the ghetto indoor arena in Los Angeles, who else? Most of the best players on the Galaxy developed on other teams. The holding mid on Galaxy was developed by GSA 100% . He was a striker and his Ex Coach/Developer turned him into an amazing holding mid. I don't understand why he left when the Coach and club invested a lot of time with him.

How many players on the Strikers 2003s come developed from the Strikers youth system? I actually don't know the answer but I'm guessing a lot of them just from watching them years ago. They started from the bottom! A team thats been together for years and has progressed year after year to become one of the best teams in the Nation I would think those kids are developing. I might be a little buzzed off of 2 Micheladas(alcapulcos) but come on.
Give the Strikers some Respect those boys are amazing.

Picking the best players from last year to win this year! That's not developing?

Everyone has the right to stupid opinions especially myself. The Strikers are getting Bullied on here because they don't play like GSA or Galaxy but yet they can beat GSA on any given Sunday and vice versa. Dont say by the long ball. The last 10 minutes of their last game the strikers with 10 players out played GSA with touch and with hustle. The Strikers are Legit are you kidding me? Vs GSA yes they will play Long Ball most of the time because you almost have no choice.

Good Night
I understand what you are saying, but I can count at least 5 players that played for South Bay plus the 2 03's that are playing with the 02's, wouldn't that count as part of the Galaxy organization?

There are a bunch of players and teams in this league that do things the right way, there is no need to brag or boost about the "star," stud, "tall Ethic Player", speed, or any of the other non-sense

You Strikers homers like to come her and do this we're special bit, have all the speed, the standard, claim a bunch of stuff & as soon as somebody calls your on it or ask for some proof besides your saltest rant you end up back tacking, living in your own heads or something along those lines.

Galaxy doesn't have any teams before U12 so they all come for somewhere, just like the club players that start at age X that played somewhere before that.

If you want to look at how many of there players came for there affiliated club that number is about half the current team roster,

Bobby Wood is a fantastic player just like Gyasi Zardes or the other (4) homegrown players on pro contracts for the 1st team.

Bobby was with the Strikers for what one whole season before moving on the Munich, Gyasi has been with the Galaxy a lot longer but as a youth he passed through several clubs like most players.

Funny thins is I don't see a single Strikers players on that active list, maybe you can point one out? Galaxy also has other homegrown players overseas in Eupore on loan or on normal rosters.

Every single one of the U17/18 Galaxy Players had college or pro options/offers at the end of the season.

Stop the BS or back up the claims, videos have been posted and we've seen nothing in return.

All the kids this age are nothing but students of the game, long way to go. 99.9% of these players won't turn pro and college will be there last go at playing.

Strikers doesn't have a strong rep in the DA league, there U15/16 & U17/18 teams will be fortunate to grab a point this weekend as they try to climb out of last place. Stinkers is one of the original members of the DA league, but even after all those years they still struggle. If the DA market was open competition they would have pushed out by now

There are newer upcoming clubs coming on strong along with LAFC posed to be big player in the years to come. Will the Strikers survive this or will they remain a footnote in the DA league?

I don't want to bash on the Galaxy because they do have great talent. I just want people to stop bashing the strikers about development.

I don't much about the 2002s. I'm sure if these 2003s stay together for a long time then they will develop even more for sure. They run a beautiful system between the youth but that's all it is. Sometimes ugly soccer is way more effective even at the pro level. Ugly works and ugly should be taught and played against.

If you really want to develop players this is what I would do.

I would obligate every DA team to change their formation every other week.
If the DA wants them to run a 433 then every other week each team should play a different formation..

Strikers vs LAG
433 vs 442
Strikers vs Pats
532 vs 433
Surf vs Strikers
343 vs 433
Real SoCal. Vs Strikers
433 Vs 541

This keeps the kids knowledgeable about playing and covering different formations. What do you guys think don't bash me please?

Yes they will be. They have amazing 2002s 2003s 2004s.

Zardes did come from the LA Galaxy 100% but he plays like he grew up on the Strikers!

If a 10-13 yrs old player is "amazing" shouldn't they be playing up like da suggests?
Both Wood & Zardes did. Take a look a what clubs consistently play players up in the da league.

If LAFC moves in to OC, where do you think the local "amazing" young players might want to play for?

Some parents think their player or team is the best thing since sliced bread, in their imagine reality they "can't see the forest for the trees"

Are you retarded or something, you asked if someone can name at least one Super Star La Masia has produced in the last 10 years? I named Sergio Busquets, but you continue rambling on as if you made a point.

Here's another one, Jordi Alba worth 35,00 Mill. €.
Barca didn't "produce" Jordi Alba. Jordi Alba produced himself. He was cut from Barca when he was 15. They bought him later, after he developed himself.
This talk of which club developed who is such a cruel joke. What middle school math teacher produced Steven Jobs?
Parents willing to drive 3 hours and pay big $$$ to train at that place that will "develop" them over others? Cruel joke, largely perpetrated by coaches and personal trainers. Parents and apparently even God are stupid enough to buy this. I knew parents who drove from Lancaster to train with TFA. They'd leave there close to, what, 10pm? That's cruel.

Wow.

You're perhaps the weakest link on this site, the ignorance is revealed on your every post.

Alba arrived at La Masia when he was around 8 yrs old and spent 7 yrs there. Those are the golden years of development.

It's funny how you compare La Masia to TFA or any US So-Called Academies when their world's apart.

Ajax, La Masia, etc.. produce World Class players that's a fact. They just don't pluck talented boys off the streets, throw a ball out there during practice and wait till someone comes around to buy them, fool.

La Masia never produced anyone. That's a cruel lie. I've seen more kids go through there and get dropped vs. those still there. La Masia is considered a failure these days.

Sorry to seem ignorant to you, but you seem just stupid to me.
And the golden years of development are maybe 17-24. Pogba is still developing. The muscle development needed to head the ball like Ibra doesn't start until one's early 20's.
Btw what clubs developed those two? LOL you're the fool here.

You know what you're right, dude. I don't know what I been thinking. You make alot more sense than just about anyone on this site.

"Great footballers don’t just appear from nowhere, as if by magic. The best players in the world—whether it’s Leo Messi, Gareth Bale, Neymar or Cristiano Ronaldo—learned the finer points of football at a professional soccer academy.

A select number of those sporting schools, affiliated with both superclubs and lesser lights, have shown themselves to be above the rest in their ability to produce top-level talent. Here are the world’s 10 best soccer academies—and what sets them apart."

being decisive and pointing fingers is not the way

DA is designed to be different and about "development" at this age not about who won, has the this or that type of players, system, etc.

These young student players have a long way to go so relax and let them learn the game and not be preoccupied by a game here or there.

IF your players are good enough for DA, step up as parent and show them you can be a good example for your team, club, league, be the bigger person. Don't be a sideline that is shouting stuff all game like those that you might typically see in the past.

Support and respect all the players, coaches, refs, and people who are putting in so much time, effort, $ for the kids to be successful. Life is too short for bickering.

The DA is no different than SCDSL, CSL, CRL, etc.... Just another league to sell gullible parents with too much money to spend on kids playing soccer. Yes, I'm guilty to a degree, pass my Kool-Aid.

I hope its different, My kid worked hard to get on his team as has to work hard every practice week in and week out. No different? disagree. Are't these kids the creme of the crop for there respective age groups? Same with PDA's? funny thing is, I don't pay a dime. We practice right next to traditional club teams and there is an obvious difference in quality and speed of play.

Yea I guess there supposed to be a diffrence.but there are still great players in regular clubs.that should be in an academy, and there are some players that don't belong in academy that are there maybe because of politics or they are good friends with coaches or managers son. But there is a diffrence in training with level A license coaches

Do you mean the 02 son of the LA GALAXY Presindent?

No it's more then 1 academy

The daddy coach connection can be seen in several instances across organizations.

Da is a mostly closed system even the tryouts or lack of them. Either a chosen prior team makes up the majority or coaches try to assemble a team.

Some of the bigger franchise afflictates have so many kids & teams many don't even know about da or are ever invited to train or tryout.

Just like the real world: who you know and knows you counts at some places more than what you know. Others not so much
