I’ll add that if the government under Biden had used the 42 Billion for internet connectivity on Starlink instead of whatever it is they spent it on, they would have had money leftover and pretty much complete coverage. Elon did quite the humanitarian thing in NC after the hurricane.

You brought Elon into the conversation, not me. Starlink would be a grossly inferior internet connectivity solution for rural Americans. There was a whole study etc. done. bids tendered and the intent was to provide rural America with top class internet connectivity so that they could be connected and competitive.

I don't disagree, and it's also an issue that I assume NASA was trying to solve by giving contracts to Boeing, i.e., if NASA isn't doing it, then they need multiple private sector companies to compete for the business.

I saw the kerfuffle today with Amazon getting smacked when it was suggested they might highlight the tariff component related to the price increases that are coming.

I'm all in favor of every company doing this, as it will or should stop companies using it as cover to just price gouge as they did over the last few years. It will also mean it can be easily removed once deals are done, and we can see that it has all been removed.

I get why the admin is against it, exposing the lie that the exporter pays, but when prices go up, that will get exposed anyway.
