Today, the EU announced reciprocal tariffs related to the steel and aluminum ones from the US. It is likely they will talk first about the 10% and then if it stays in place they will impose something. The EU is very patient and very prepared on trade talks & negotiations, as the UK found out to their detriment, e.g. the EU passed a law in Dec23 - Anti-Coercion Instrument (ACI) - now that's prepared.

No, but we'll know if she did jump in ahead of time based on a tip off from someone (who do you think in the Trump admin is tipping her off?), in May when congress have to do their next financial disclosures. I'm not sure even her wealth would move the needle like that though.
