People also have the right, arguably unfortunately, to be willfully misinformed and trust propaganda over science.
Fortunately, it's fairly easy to identify such people in today's society, via the use of certain key words and phrases, which are used almost solely within the ideological groups where misinformation is rampant and propaganda is well received. And people in those groups are currently in good company in the US at the moment (see the recent election of the fascist leaning leader of his white Christian nationalist party). People have the right to believe whatever they want, and that has certainly been exploited by some, for better or for worse.
We can agree to disagree on the veracity of science, though, for sure.
