Expansion

Also, Nationals have 2 GA teams right now. Does this mean ECNL gave them 2 ECNL teams?

If ECNL gave Nationals 2x ECNL teams I'm sure others clubs are going to get upset.
If ECNL gave Nationals 1x ECNL team the 2nd GA team players will likely leave instead of playing in ECRL.
Guess we'll see whether they do the 2 team portion, maybe one ECNL and one ECNL RL, but certainly a dampener on GA. As far as the parent coached club, I'm not as familiar with them in all honesty but you could argue most clubs are parent ran 😆😆.

All in all, not a good day for GA but I'm sure they will be just fine, plenty of good clubs wanting to fill those spots, and its still a well run league.

I hope this means ECNL is making offers to the remaining top tier GA teams.
History has shown that ECNL will pick and choose who they want in.

Before today ECNL was trying to push that clubs must play in ECRL before being promoted to ECNL.

Now the rule appears to be either play in ECRL do well then get promoted or do well in GA and you can go direct to ECNL.

ECNL just added Nationals, Colorado Rush, and Ukies

Current scoreboard...

1. GA was Promoted by US Soccer
2. GA added Liverpool FC International Academy (CA)
3. GA added SYC
4. GA added Revolution
5. GA added Seattle Celtic

1. ECNL added Colorado Rush
2. ECNL added Nationals
3. ECNL added Ukies

1. GA was Promoted by US Soccer
Promoted to what? Do you mean they became a member? AYSO is also a member, so is CalSouth (Coast Soccer); impressive. The GA is now into their THIRD governing organization in as many years (U.S. Youth Soccer, USSSA, and now U.S. Soccer).
2. GA added Liverpool FC International Academy (CA) National Club Rank #106
3. GA added SYC National Club Rank #208
4. GA added Revolution National Club Rank #515
5. GA added Seattle Celtic National Club Rank #317

1. ECNL added Colorado Rush National Club Rank #149
2. ECNL added Nationals National Club Rank #16
3. ECNL added Ukies National Club Rank #54

It's pretty clear to everyone what is happening, right?

I don't know why you keep posting this. It's not a scoreboard, and if it were, you'd put the ranks next to the clubs that decided to leave and decided to join. GA was not "promoted". A second-tier league gained some clubs and lost some clubs. The league above them in all aspects gained some of the clubs that they lost, which also happens to include one of the strongest clubs the second-tier league claimed.

ECNL admitting GA teams, then the GA adding more teams.
All this shows is how much the US Soccer Federation just drives with no hands on the wheel.

7. GA added South Valley Surf
Poor South Valley Surf. Good teams, but no league wants them because none of the teams want to travel to Bakersfield. Reminds me that I think USYS and GA both messed up when they couldn’t figure out how to combine their circuits.

You think GA bringing on South Valley Surf will force ECNL to bring on some of the central valley MLVA + other feeder clubs?

ECNL holds all the cards. They don't have to or need to bring in anyone. And they obviously aren't forced to. GA is adding teams/clubs that barely crack the top 300 (at best,) while ECNL takes 2 (arguably 3) of GA's top clubs. Please stop comparing the 2 leagues at this point. It's embarrassing.

Embarrassing hardly, when I look at the top 50 girls teams in CA (at all the different age groups) I see a mix of ECNL, GA, NPL, DPL, E64 and ECRL. I also notice several ECNL teams ranked higher than 50 in CA.

And ECNL is clustered near the top, while GA is clustered quite a ways down. Look at the top 20, for example. If you are pointing out bad ECNL teams, why aren't you pointing out horrifically bad GA teams? It took me moments to find a GA team ranked #1100 in the country, over #200 in state. None of this is embarrassing, either to GA, ECNL, or any of the other leagues. What is embarrassing is looking at the data and trying to obfuscate that by all metrics, GA is nowhere close to ECNL at the moment.

EDIT: I should have taken another moment. Here is one that is #2300 in country, #350 in state.

I'd prefer to not argue about who has the worst teams possible. These teams from whatever league don't matter and it's a waste of time.

South Valley Surf is a decent team and a good add for GA.

My question still stands. Northern Central Valley players are known for driving into SF to play for clubs like MLVA. Will GA adding South Valley Surf push ECNL into bringing on some of the central valley clubs?

Then I wouldn't post things like this:

What was your intention, other than saying that ECNL had bad teams (which they admittedly do)? Why would you want to say that, if the obvious follow-up is that GA has more bad teams?

I believe I asked a reasonable question "Will ECNL need to expand into the central valley now that GA brought on South Valley Surf?" I asked this because it's well known that Northern Central valley players often commute into SF to play for both ECNL and GA clubs. Generally the reason leagues haven't expanded into this area is because nobody wants to make the commute from SD/LA/SF for league games. It appears that GA has changed their position on this. It also opens up the possibility for GA to drop the AZ teams in the Southwest conference (because of the Liverpool add) and have CA travel only for Southwest league games.
