Thanks for your excellent reporting, as always. Parent issue can’t have helped though. Any word on Club management getting involved yet to put out the dumpster fire? I have to believe that’s coming shortly if it isn’t happening already.

I'm sure they've been doing damage control since this got started, but once the dominoes start falling it can be hard to stop them. Blues should bounce back though .. I mean .. it's Blues we're talking about. Then again, their 07 team was gutted recently and they still haven't recovered.

Sometimes it's fun watching the top teams/clubs blow up (as long as it's not your team) + see Coaches that didnt have the time of day to evaluate potential new players get humbled. Now shoe is on the other foot + they'll need to start being nice to everyone again.

Blues will be able to build back. But I'm sure theyll implement all kinds of internal changes / controls. Like no guesting at younger ages, no more ODP, Blues only trainer / futsal environments, and more willingness to "cut out the cancer" if a certain parent isnt playing along or trying to control the team.

My skin in the game is I have a DD who's in DPL right now and the only ECNL program closest to me has be in constant chaos since moving to this state. I've played the game and went golfing at one of their fundraisers to talk soccer and club, but these top GM dads wouldn't take a breath away from telling me how College and WNT scouts come from all over the nation to watch their kids play. This was so false. My recruiting connections from one of the D1 schools THEY mentioned just laughed as we got the women's soccer coach on the phone. All I want is an opertunity for my DD to play at her age level on a top team and not need to worry about whos paying the coach on the side for minutes, positions and a constant ear about how to play on game day. What happened to integrity coach? You know how many parents over the years came into my office with booster checks to get their sons on the field Friday night when I was coaching. ZERO. That's right. ZERO. You set the standard from day 1 on what will be tolerated. The only way to play was through hard work, determination and execution. The parents involved trying to destroy clubs should take a long hard look in the mirror and realize the damage they are creating for the next generation. Unacceptable parents. DO BETTER!

You are all to blame. Recruit your own players and play the best where you know they belong. Stop listening to parents and most importantly DO BETTER!!!!! ALL the kids who get left behind and/or cut from Slammers WILL get their revenge on National Signing Day in High School when three quarters of that new roster quits soccer from burn out.

Well since the DM's have yet to stop and threats have been made after announcing my last post here, you're only leaving me with very few options. You know who I am and that this is not a burner account. Ill be out for tryouts with my DD and you and I can talk face to face. You are not a hard person to find. The community here has been great and has showed me some disgusting emails and text messages you have sent through the years. Hate to break the news but the Blues parents don't want any part of you causing team turmoil year in and year out. Seems to be a problem when the ones you trusted the most are sick of you. My only question, do you and your wife feel a sense of self worth attacking young girls as parents?

Hard to have a last post when the DMs and threats start. I tried to leave a few times and then doxing happens and then threats, Welcome back and sorry to hear about threats.

Sounds like your DD and family have been victimized by this repeat offender. Genuinely sorry you’ve had to go through that. Good luck with tryouts.

(As an aside, the tryout-related rumors should start flowing any minute now.)

Didn’t Koge beat you 2-1 recently? Not sure I understand your reasoning. Heard Surf had their full squad and it was a competitive game. I’m sure someone who was there can provide more details, but seems like Koge is putting their pieces together and is going to give all teams a run for their money…
 
Here's what SR has for them. Surf certainly favored, but Koge not a long-shot at all - 25% chance to win, 19% chance to tie. It will get a smidge closer as well after these results make their way through. Koge currently showing 5th in state / 9th nationally, and beating the Blues and tieing the Eagles within the last 30 days - both who are/were ranked higher. (4th nationally/8th nationally).

Koge played a great game and deserved their victory. Going undefeated is not an easy task and everyone has to suck it up to achieve it. No one serves it to you on a platter. Perhaps a different substitution pattern might have helped and better first touches, but that is just Monday morning QB’ing. Koge is a legitimate contender and one of the best teams in the country.

Yesterday Koge had the debut of their new midfielder that left Blues a month ago. And is arguably a top 3 MF in CA, if not nationally.
Immediate impact. I'm told she scored.

This morning Koge squeaked by Rebels 3-2. I chalk it up to coming off a huge win and mailing it in against low tier NL team.
Interestingly will be where some of their players land. Chatter all over the place is they have multiple high end players coming in and looking to become a true super team.

To add to this, there were no Slammers ECNL or Koge players at either tryouts. The club has seen them play 3-4-5 times a week for the past year and already has judgment on them. That being said, recruitment from outside has seemed to be the MO with some promotion from within to solidify these teams surrounded by the core players. I suspect Slammers will be top tier with all 4 of their ecnl / rl teams in each bracket for this age group.

Funny how quickly things can change in youth soccer. This time last year Blues was tearing tournaments up. Now we’ll have to see how things go.

What’s the group opinion, was it Players, Parents, or Coaches that drove the changes?
