G2010 - How’s the 2022 season going?

Surf girls leaving and going to Slammers ? Why leave the no1 team in the country and add that drive? I personally can't see it. Next thing I will read is Alex Morgan is thinking of going Slammers.
Alex Morgan drove from Diamond Bar to Del Mar to play for Surf. I drove from Temecula to San Juan Capistrano two days a week for two years to have my dd coached by the best youth coach in the country. Hands down the most honest and truthful Doc/Coach I have ever met in the US. I also knew of two dads that drove from the Santa Clarita area to San Juan and now both are pro.

Not if the crazy parents can somehow get Slammers to drop several current players in favor of those coming over. Or maybe a deal between the new parents and coach that existing will ride pine until they leave.
That's my point..... say that is true. Lets say 4-5 current Koge Girls dont get offered back. I would think Blues (for example, due to proximity) is the first call they are making.

But you left for a better team. Who is better than Surf in 2010s?

I left for a coach to OC and only the coach and not the medals, although we won it all her first year and never gave up a goal in league. One of my dear old pals from Murrieta owned a soccer store. He gave the best advice that still rings true today. He was from Argentina and told me to never join a team to win at younger ages and only go with the best coach for your dd. I listen to that advice. He said club was all about medals and he was right. Looks like Slammers is going to be the clear #1 for next season. Surf will be #2. I would never give up on the Blues being #1. Eagles with drop like they always do at this age. Legends should also start making some noise.

Did Alex Morgan play for Surf ?

Slammers is just very strong in the 2010 bracket. 4 teams in the top 23 in California (the 5th being in 38th). The RL team is beating mid to low tier ECNL teams and tying some top tier NL teams (took Koge NL to PKs and tied DKSC). The Slammers program and platform is strong and pretty impressive in the 2010 age group being able to offer 2 ECNL teams, 2 ECRL teams and an E64 team all 5 of which are top tier in their leagues. I find it surprising everyone is trying to go where the talent pool is already so saturated considering most are leaving for more play time.

Last I heard Legends was pulling a lot of players from great park to Silverlakes

Pats is making a huge recruitment push and essentially have a full roster pretty much available for people looking for play time with the requirement of playing ECNL.

Arsenal has lots of roster spots too.

Sounds like most are in my opinion going about it differently than I would and should try to understand the landscape better before going right back to where they ended up (in a position they didn’t want to play on the field, eg striker playing defense, fighting tooth and nail with each other for whatever seconds they can get on the field).

Imo there’s no point going to the top team if you’re not going to play. I know it might take a hit to some parents egos, but why not consider other platforms? This is a very talented age group and there are plenty of opportunities at GA, E64, ECRL, DPL to consider too.

Just be happy your kids are still playing a sport and aren’t into boys, more interested in going out with friends than practicing or playing Minecraft / fortnight all day. Imo the focus should be more on getting the a place to play on the field and still being motivated to play soccer instead of being discouraged and losing their confidence because substitution rules make it too challenging for coaches to rotate kids into the competitive games.

Can anyone tell me in order of hierarchy 2010 girls teams and their coaches. It seems more and more blues chapters are establishing.
Thanks

AR has the ECNL/RL teams

Fly (LL) and ES have next 2 teams in line, both I believe are shooting for NPL next season- both play some nice soccer

Then I think they will have 2 Socal F1 teams

Im not sure if Carlsbad will have a 2010 but if they do I would imagine that would be F1 or 2

Any truth to the Rumor that Cal South's 2010 ODP team that played together in January committed to to bring 8-10 players over to Koge in May?

Im calling BS since Slammers isn't represented on the list. Could be the 2009's?

There are plenty of options for sure, no need to go to a top team if that’s not what you are looking for. I don’t know why people were assuming they would all go to Slammers. They may be strong in the 2010 group but it all depends on what your DD and family are looking for. We took the top team approach at first and it didn’t work out. We are now much happier in a mid level ecrl team.

Ha, next you'll be telling people to check out GA clubs. Or the ever popular just play on whatever high level team is closest to where you live.

In the end does it really matter? Get good grades and your kid has a good shot at getting into XYZ college.

For 2010s this is the first year of ECNL/GA. Just wait, parents are going to get tired of all the travel + players will discover things more important than soccer. When this happens spots will become available.

@crush I think the real question here is. Who is @CharlieMurfee he just admitted to being one of the bench players parents. All these other ghost accounts posting trying to say I’m posting on behalf of @Luis Andres are using him as the scape goat to hide that matter. I don’t know the guy personally but I’ve tried to message him and have never gotten a reply. I got history posting on here unlike all these other ghost accounts making these claims don’t. FYI Luis is not part of any of my sources.

Interesting, that’s a far trek coming from Diamond Bar. I thought she went to the club that eventually turned into FC Premier (would make more sense geographically)

She started late I think. AYSO until 14. Surf sold me as a parent that their best player they developed was Alex. I think she played one year for Surf.

@Luis Andres is like the Boogeyman or is it the candy man.. keep saying his name and turn around three time after midnight, then look in a mirror… you get the rest .. LOL he cannot help himself… @SoccerSpoiler you have all of the cache it seems, did your sources tell you that our team lost another player to another club within the last 25 hrs LOL.. can’t make this stuff up.. @Chalklines scholarship money and GM Daddies go a long way LOL but seriously, have your sources told you that.. @crush what are your feelings and thoughts of GM dads cyber bullying little girls ‘in the name of soccer’ and to ‘improve the elite team’?

Oh woe is me, my friend, what news have you brought? You speak of a lost player, but for whom have they sought? The roster remains the same, with no change to be seen, So pray tell, my dear friend, what do you really mean?

But hark! What voice doth pierce the night, 'Tis the Boogie Man, with a message, clear and bright. His words may not be grandiose or full of rhyme, But they are true and just, and stand the test of time.

So fear not, dear friend, for the Boogie Man is here, And his words are honest, with nothing to fear. The roster remains the same, unchanged by fate, So let us rejoice, and celebrate!

And let us thank the Boogie Man, for his words so true, For he has brought us clarity, and a new point of view. So let us raise a toast, to the Boogie Man so wise, And to the roster, unchanged, before our very eyes!

you lying Charlie…. I just checked my sources and they checked with the boogie man…

Oh, @McDrippy , thou art but a fleeting shadow, A mere distraction to one who doth know, That I am right and righteous, a king in my own right, And thou art but a peasant, a mere mortal blight.

Thou may think thou hast power, but thou art mistaken, For my strength and my wit shall never be forsaken. Thou canst not shake me, nor make me fall, For I am the master of the game, the king of the ball.

Thou may try to bring me down, with insults and lies, But thy efforts are futile, for they are but cries, Of a desperate soul, who doth seek to cause strife, But I shall not be moved, for I have a virtuous life.

So, Mcdrippy, take thy leave, and trouble me no more, For I am the poet Shakespeare, a king who doth adore, The beauty of words, and the power they hold, And thou art but a mere mortal, who shall soon grow old.

I'm sure everyone is aware but 2010 is just a bigger than normal age group for kids playing soccer. This is why all the craziness reguarding teams + playing time seems like it's being amplified

I've heard it all has to do with the housing bubble bursting in 2008 + parents were putting off having kids. Then 2009/10 came and houses were cheap and the economy felt stable again and boom. Kids all over the place from parents that were delaying having them before.

The USWNT is going to dominate in 4-5 years.
US birth rates peaked in 2007 and have been declining since
