I didn't say they were exposed, your assessment was ways off. Galaxy won because the were the better team yesterday. And no I don't have a few words with my kid after his game. That the coaches job, I stop doing that after AYSO 7 years ago. My first words to him after each game is are you hungry. If he wants to talk about the game then I listen.

I never have words with my son after a game. He never plays like shit.
Laufa played like they play all games. A key forward was injured and missed on the field this game.
Laufa also beat San Jose Earthquakes, the team you guys tied. They also beat De Anza Force, who didn't resort to boot-ball like Galaxy and Earthquakes did.
It's a shame the video's taken of the academy games aren't put online for everyone too see. No one should have to put up with any dad's take on a game.

Go back and read your post, has nothing to do with Galaxy been the better team. Your were trying to put down a bunch of kids that came together and are learning to play as a team and doing a pretty good job of it.
Ask your self if Galaxy is that great why were scouting at the showcase and approaching other team players.

Where does he put down LAUFA? He said game vs Galaxy was one-sided and he can't believe LAUFA beat GSA (in Surf Cup I'm guessing).

Maybe you disagree with him, but it's not a put down.

And the reality is, in DA League, Galaxy and GSA are clearly head and shoulders above in terms of talent, teamwork, whatever criteria you want to use. That is the truth. Ricardo saying Galaxy is better is not a put down. Galaxy should be better after stealing -- no, I mean "recruiting" -- most of the top players in the 2003 age group.

What's up Ricardo. How's Kevin doing? Drive killing u yet?

They are always churning their roster. If your son plays for Galaxy two years, they own his rights and he cannot be drafted by other MLS teams. Their goal is to have every player that might be drafted on their roster for two years.
 
Yes the drive is killing me but it's worth the drive...
Practice is great and they are treating Kevin good...
That's what all parents want...
And yes I never criticized LAUFA I just said the game one was 1 sided...
And can't believe that LAUFA beat GSA...
If that offends you or bothers you you should join 1 of those 2 academys

What was one sided? Two plays where the only difference on the score line.

The scouts are not looking at the scores and there is no standing in the league so tell us why galaxy is playing and telling the kids that winning is the only thing that matters? Several of the galaxy kids don't like the coaching or the way they are being treated.

The galaxy parents screaming at their kids all game for what reasons? Parent coaching is not allowed in the DA league and if your coaching staff has not corrected that by now they should.

22 kids on the roster, 3 subs that get into the game last 5 minutes. 10 players on the roster that don't meet the minimum playing time mandates show they don't care much about development, would rather sacrifice players for results.

The scouting report this week for the galaxy is not going to be kind, they have some real work to do. Maybe they will listen like the Strikers have and turn things around; when you can't play out the back, connect more than 3 passes together, get inside the other teams 18, or get some other players on the field the entire game you know you have some serious work to do to meet the DA mandates.

Come on Rick, maybe you should be a little bit more humble, you never know where life is going to take you in a year or two. For what I'm reading here I do think Galaxy should play better, I've seen a couple of games after that game were Striker dominated the first half, but One mistake made the difference. We all know that Galaxy it's the best soccer organization in California and maybe in whole US, but that doesn't mean that all the other academies don't have the talent or the coaching to develop players.
 
I think I was being truthful when I said GALAXY was the better team yesterday...
Yes I know there are a lot of other academies that are good...
ALBION,SURF,STRIKERS, ARSENAL, but what I know is GSA and GALAXY...
They do a good job with the kids...

Laufa only had two shots missed by the same foward....as of subs yea galaxy has a bigger bench.but there subs played at least 15 min laufa sub only played 5 min..laufa but laufa also has great team for being a new academy and it is going in the right direction.
 
I watched the LAUFA vs Galaxy 13 game after the 14's played and it was a fairly even game, no players either team really stood out.

Galaxy was trying to use their speed a bit too much first half and forget about their passing game in the final third. The entire game Galaxy had coordination problems in this area and could have used more team work.

LAUFA played good team soccer, out the back but couldn't finish their chances, they outshoot and outworked Galaxy with a better press.

Which players are improving or not from last time I've seen them? LAUFA seems to be making greater strides in this area but time will tell.

The two Galaxy player going to the YNT 14 camp, MI normally plays with the 14's and the newer 13 player MK has only played a few games, why hasn't he been with the team until now?
 
The game was a good one and the galaxy boys have to come with the same mind set that is set at practice. Everyone brings their A game trying to take out the top team. Nothing will change in the near future. The boys need to be ready and play there game. We shouldnt stress the kids more than necessary.

you must have been watching the '02s play. there was no 3rd goal and LAUFA had many more shots then the two you are talking about. i came to watch this game thinking it would be "one-sided" but was surprised by LAUFAs game. i tend to think the Galaxy coach did not walk away feeling great about the win. after watching LAUFA play i am not surprised they beat GS. don't kid yourself, LAUFA is a good team.

I never said laufa was a bad team I've known Miguel Ramos since 1989 he is a great coach and a great guy.i think he is doing a great job with these kids.but right now galaxy has a stronger team.most of theses kids have been in the game for a while playing in if he top clubs before academy chivas.pats. tfa cosmos Golden State. But even tho laufa lost I think they played a good game ,but you have to give galaxy credit they won 2- 0 and they also missed at least 3 goals.and there was a goal that was taken away from galaxy that was called outside not sure which game you were watching. Unless you got to the game late.it was in second half

What do you guys mean when you say so-and-so "was the better team" on any particular day? Are they more talented individually? Played better that particular day? Played better as a team?
Of course Galaxy is going to have more dads with talented sons willing to fight traffic four days a week, and put up with their sons riding the bench all season. No other academy teams can compete in this regard. Galaxy is a mercenary team, like PSG or Man City. Does that make it the better team?

ah! you said OUTSIDE but you mean OFFSIDE, yes? that's what threw me off.

well with all that talent and still not a one-sided game. that is exactly why the Galaxy coach was probably not happy with the win. i don't know either coach but watching the game you wouldn't know one team was perceived much better then the other. just saying.

Looking forward to seeing the video.
Ten minutes left in the game I started dad-coaching my son. He played it back anyway, even though they were down 2-0 and a forward was poorly marked. Ramos told him to. He's a far better coach in terms of development than JH. My son trained with JH too, while he was a mercenary at Premier.
