Congrats to the Champions CDA Slammers FC - HB B03 Godinez Black on a perfect season.

Congrats to San Diego Soccer Club B2003 Academy Navy on a great season.

Congrats to all the 03 boys and coaches in Flight 1 and all the flights for a good first season in the new year format.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Congrats to the CDA Slammer Godinez players and the coaching staff... both Godinez and E. Dykes did a great job with training and execution during games. Credit to the boys on a perfect season. When making the switch from the Strikers I wasn't sure what to expect other than a 10 minute commute to practice. This is my son's 3 SCDSL championship metal in 4 years and he impressed me by fitting in to a very talented team where there is no weak link in the chain.
Looking forward to battling a more of the top contenders in So Cal at CRL, National Cup and possibly another run nation wide.

I have not seen your team play this season, honest question, is this an academy team playing club? Could they compete against GSA, your Strikers, Galaxay?

((( North vs South )))

Looks like CSL has a little GOLD battle going on at bunker hill in San Bernadino with the final 4 standing! Who will take league Cup???

Very good JackZ, I would go all out with Power Ball/ Super Lottol, I had 3 out 4
(Rangers was suppost to loose)

The team has beaten the Albion DA Academy 2-0 in the summer and could definitely play with any team out there. There are few teams with the depth they have and they are well coached. They lost to the Strikers in close matches last year but are much better this year with their new additions and trainer.

I know both teams really well. The 2015-16 strikers team was really special having gotten to the final four final at National Cup. So that is something very special they did. That is something I'm not sure this CDA team can do. It requires great performances and lots of luck. Last season while with strikers I remember that when the two matched up it was always a toe to toe battle. I've watched those match ups that we recorded last season. Being that I know the three to four 02's that the Strikers lost to the realignment were definitely impact players. Especially the keeper and center mid/ holding mid. And I know the added players to the current team. I also know the CDA team was also an 03 heavy team that helped form this core. They lost one stud 02. They also added 3 studs that are more impactful than what strikers added. Is CDA better? We won't know because they can't play each other... It's a if my aunt had ball she would be my uncle argument. But if a scrimmage against an academy team could be secretly arranged... I'd bet the CDA team would beat or tie most of them. I'd rank them in the top half without a doubt.

The no outside comp or scrimmages for the DA league is one thing ussda should consider changing at least during the breaks (Mid dec to Feb), summer, etc.

The 10 month season does have some advantages but there are so few ussda tournaments the rest of the time some of the kids miss playing in those. Showcases and the futsal tournament help but most local teams you never get to see or compete against anymore.

Open leagues and real promotion and regulation would help. Should be a way for a team to stay together and move up to the next league or level, that's what the champions leagues concept was about that morphed into CRL but now that's just another CS only tournament that has a number of reserves or 2nd teams.
