CHAMPIONS DIVISION - Round of 16 comprised of: (CORRECTED 10/18/16)
  • Top eight team from Champions Division = 8
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd from each Europa = 6
  • Two wildcards from Europa Division based on Pts/GP (points per games, second column on standings page and can come from any geographical division) = 2

EUROPA DIVISION – Round of 16 comprised of: (CORRECTED 10/18/16)
  • Bottom three from Champions Division = 3
  • 4th and 5th OR 5th and 6th place Europa North & South (depending on wildcards to Champions Division) = 4
  • First place Flight 2 geographical divisions = 6
  • Three wildcards from Flight 2 based on Pts/GP (second column on standings page and can come from any geographical division) = 3

NORTH AMERICAN – Round of 16 comprised of: (CORRECTED 10/18/16)
  • Last place Europa North and South = 2

It makes a lot of sense.

Most people on these boards are saying team X develops, and team Y doesn't, but the reality is just about every team is playing to win right now. So they play at striker the kid who knows how to finish right now, even though he doesnt have speed, or he will eventually be too heavy to play the position, or he can't jump and will suck at air balls, and looks nothing like the prototype of what a striker should look like.

When that kid can't do it anymore, the clubs will train or more likely recruit a kid that fits the prototype and train up his finishing.

Learning how to finish is an incredibly difficult skill to learn and coach. It takes a lot of time and reps. You can't just shoot it high over the goalie anymore, which is pretty much what most of the top strikers in younger age groups do.

Unless you have a dad who knows how to train you at striker, how to turn, which turns to use and when, how to volley, when to pass it in, etc. etc., you probably will not get enough quality reps until you are older.

In Champs playoff bracket Sharks Barton edge out Laguna United by goals scored tie breaker, when they played each other it was a draw! Sharks just making it into the Champs bracket leaving Laguna United #1 seed in Europa bracket.

Question on playoff seeding with the Europa south and north division, do they rank based on pts/game played or how they finished in their division? Top 3 pts/gp were in Europa north.

Congrats also to Godinez for going undefeated in division.

Last year they used pts/gp to seed the brackets for Europa teams playing Champions division playoff bracket
Example:

B03 Champions Division teams will be seeded 1-8, then it'll be pts/gp for Europa teams seedings. If they use that same format it would be: #9 TFA, #10 Strikers South Bay, #11 Pats LA, etc. ... the two wildcards would be Nomads and Pats Irvine White. With the latter playing #1 seed Slammers Godinez.
 
Possible seedings:
If they rank 1-8 in Champions then seed the Europa North, South division top 3 teams by points, and then 2 wildcards by points.
