There’s always a reasonable story behind actions - incentives drive behavior. Why did Dems change to support illegal aliens and stop supporting election security? This explains it very well.

Related to the fraud Dems and these NGOs participate in....is the latest from CA.

CA didn't like the scrutiny on immigrant related companies funding by the state of CA. So what did they do? Just passed a law making it very hard for anyone to find out where the money goes, to whom, and how it is being used.

As part of that bill...

"AB 2624, which California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed in August, extends a privacy program to immigrant-serving nonprofits, their staff, and volunteers, allowing them to acquire substitute addresses in public records rather than their home and business addresses. The law also bans anyone from posting information on the internet with the intent of enabling another person to threaten violence against an immigration support services provider."

Think about that. The state is allowing these organizations to hide where they operate. Why would you do that unless many of these organizations cannot stand to have sunlight shined upon their operations.

The bill also claims that by posting articles about them (the organizations) the person or organization highlighting the fraud can be liable if some other person or entity then threatened them. The obvious scam is this...you are getting bad press about what you do. You claim someone is threatening you...and then the state law allows the state to go after the reporter.

The incentives this law puts in place actively prevents oversight of public funds.
