Today in Fascism

Yes, Trump has to perform. My point is he is coming in with incredible momentum and a great win streak, lets see if he can keep it going.
It's the Trump Train bro. President Trump is on a historic win streak, and I don't see him losing ever again. With that said, crush is also winning. Granted my wins are smaller than Trumps, but I'm still a winner and not a loser like espola and Husker Du.

Do you remember Trump trying to make cuts the last time and the dems fighting him every single time? I do. Then they sat back and cried about how he added to the deficit.
I'm assuming this was in the 2nd half of his term. Why didn't he do it in the first half, when the GOP controlled the trifecta? Funny that you are saying that Nancy Pelosi owned Trump for 2 years of his first term! I guess he'll go all out to max the cuts in the next two years then, having learned his lesson - I genuinely look forward to it.

I do wonder why he is looking for the debt limit to be increased though, seems odd to me 🤔 .

It was a House bill, which is controlled by the GOP, so they get to own this, no?
Yes, their leadership absolutely owns it - some of whom I’m not a fan of. But, they don’t whine with hilarious lack of self-awareness as the libs do. This looks better. I’ll also note that this seems like the type of work Trump hired Musk and Ramaswamy to do.

One thing I notice about the liberals on here, is they're very concerned about what could happen and give very little care for what did happen. I guess its just hyper-partisanship.
I'm still waiting for you to eat crow bro. Don't try and be a conservative now. Kevin and Mike are a complete joke. Obviously, you support the way of the wind from your fence. Monday Quarterback you.

Not a fan of either
I can appreciate why you don't care for them. However, the alternative to me are the Gaetz and MTG types. They talk tough, but they're breakers not fixers, whiners, not doers (not to mention that they're both stone-cold idiots). Johnson and McCarthy actually have to work within the bounds of reality and compromise. Should Johnson have brought a 1,500 page CR to vote, probably not.

Biden does own those, I never said he doesn't - I even listed more on some thread on here fwiw.

The GOP won in Nov. That's the win streak, one election. Let's see what they can do.
Biden doesn't own those. Are you kidding me? Libtards are STILL telling everyone inflation is way down and a world problem... not a JoeTato problem. And let's be honest about "immigration"... up until 3 months before the November election, libtards DENIED THERE WAS A PROBLEM. Let's review: Created the problem, denied the problem and THEN blamed Trump for the problem not getting fixed.

Tell me you're smarter than this even if you're not more honest than this.

I'm a deficit hawk, an absolute fiscal conservative - so I hate them both equally for the $36T in debt we now have that we don't need to have (at that level).
Okay, so we agree on hating the deficit, but do you concede that Trump tried to make cuts the first time and democrats were so angry about Hillary losing that they fought him constantly? I won't say "every" issue, because I can't back that up, but a lot of what he did... including the climate accord. Trump questioned why we foot 20% of the entire bill when the 10 worst offenders don't do jack shit.

You're assuming? You don't remember? And who said anything about Pelosi owning Trump? When our politicians use their personal grudges to damage the course of our country, that's a problem and I don't care what color jersey you wear. Unlike JoeTato, Trump hasn't been a politician his entire career. He's been a CEO that had to learn a new game. The fact is, and I don't make excuses for the fact that Trump is a dick as a person, but other CAREER politicians like Pelosi used the game to fight him on everything.

The difference is that in 2024, when dems were calling him "Hitler, fascist, threat to democracy, felon, rapist, misogynist, etc", Americans didn't buy the bullshit anymore. They watched politics get weaponized and they cancelled it at the polls. And frankly, when you spend like a drunken sailor like we have for so long, why even have a debt ceiling? Are we paying $36T back anytime soon? It's a cartoon number already. I don't support removing boundaries for politicians but the reality is it's a fucking joke now.
