I agree generally, although, I'm with Espola that moving probably wasn't a viable option for many. My main premise in regards to the conflict is that the innocents aren't victims of Israel they're victims of Hamas and radical Islam. Palestinians are shunned by other Arab countries because those countries fear the radical element of Palestinians and that they may radicalize other Arabs. The hard truth is that the Palestinians in power have continually chosen violence over peace for property for the last 75 years.
The protests are disturbing, but whats more disturbing is the apparent tolerance of the anti-Semitism by some. Kids do stupid shit, but when you have some professors and administrators supporting or encouraging the hate, that's a whole different ball of wax.

You do know that the overwhelming majority of (current) Gazans did not vote for Hamas in 2006 (the last election), as they were either not alive (50% of Gazans are children) or were children then. What exact stand do you think they could have made against 40,000 heavily armed homicidal maniacs, if they happened to know that Hamas were about to commit despicable horrific atrocities? But they obviously didn't know that. Who could these Gazans have spoken with to try to get "free" elections? Who was there working with them to lift them from abject poverty and provide them with a future for themselves and their children?
There is no excuse for or excusing of the acts of Hamas on Oct 7th. I'd have zero issue with those responsible being lined up against a wall or worse.
There is also no excuse for one of the most advanced armies in the world killing tens of thousands including 13,000 children. Israel has no end game here. With the scale of the killing, injured and destruction, Israel has managed to ruin its international reputation in pursuit of a pipe dream, eradicating Hamas, and is creating the next generation of lunatics who will be the same or worse.
And that's not even going down the current path of famine, with hundreds of thousands of Gazans already apparently on the edge or over it.

The West Bank hasn't been a hot bed of violence. There are outbreaks, deaths (of Palestinians mainly), arrests (of Palestinians mainly) and theft (of Palestinian land always) ... Why are Palestinians the problem of other Arab countries? Why should they take in 5 million Palestinians?
I can see how its convenient to blame Hamas when 13,000 children are killed, but its not correct.
You posted above that the pending peace deal is on Hamas, but did you know that the current Finance Miniter for Israel has stated (below), so its not like unanimity on the Israeli side either and it could bring down the Israeli government.

A ceasefire is desperately needed, for the innocents. A longer term plan for the betterment of the innocents also needs to be put in place. Failing to do that, and this will repeat itself, which is in nobodies interest, especially not the innocents who always pay the highest price.
