That was the President of the United States, four years ago today at the height of the COVID pandemic, suggesting people perhaps inject "disinfectant" like bleach or Lysol into their bodies to kill the virus "almost like a cleaning."

He also suggested that we could maybe put really, really bright lights inside people.

This while his even pet quack "doctor" and scarf rack stood by in silence struggling to keep a straight face.

In the same rambling incoherent speech, Trump reminded us that he once had a distant uncle who was allegedly a physicist so he Donald Trump knows more about biology and diseases than the doctors who were, according to him, boggled at how much he knows.

I've said it before, you'll hear me say it again: Stop electing stupid and insane people to run your government.

Unfortunately, we're stuck with a Biden and Trump rematch. So let's hope in another 4 years we get better options, but I'm not holding my breath. Of course, we still have the MTG's and AOC's that have to be dealt with.

Maybe voters will choose record over personality.

Trump may be ahead right now in swing state polling, but there are so many things that can happen between now and then with Biden's continued mental decline and Trump's legal issues. State abortion decisions could be a huge factor as well...there are a fair number of single issue abortion voters.

0 weeks will hand the election to Biden. I don't think Ukraine and Israel funding are top issues for voters. Other than single issue abortion voters, I think most people are more concerned about the cost of food, gas and housing. So it will likely come down to "independents" choosing Biden freebies or Trump's more "capitalistic" approach, if nothing too wild happens with restrictions on abortion. The MAGA and "Orange Man Bad" voters are already locked in.

I find it incredibly ironic that liberals fight to the death for the right to abortion but none of them said a word when JoeTato tried to push legislation to allow companies to harass and haze unvaccinated employees.

What point are you so desperately trying to make? There are bad apples in every occupation and no one is denying that there aren't bad apples in law enforcement. It appears the cop's bad behavior resulted in appropriate punishment (ie termination). Seems our system worked in this case and the sensationalism by the Youtuber was for clicks.

Ukraine vs Russia is a big issue with the folks I know and now the mother of all wars is at our doorsteps with Israel vs Iran. Once Ukraine gets its membership with NATO, we will have a major world war. Trump and SCOTUS sent abortion to the States. Most republicans I know are ok with abortion up to 15 weeks, after that it's killing and unusual pain and suffering for another human being. CA allows the mother to kill the child 9 months into life. Some states will allow baby to come out of the womb only to be executed a few days later because mom is depressed. MAGA voters are locked in 100%. Do you think Joe took showers with his dd?

I believe the majority supports 16 weeks (with some health exceptions), which is the 4 weeks longer than most of Europe.

Not even close. I didn't think you would watch it.

P,S. I have always been in favor of voter ID, but not when it is used as a means to discriminate against those who would have a hard time getting such an ID.

Poor people, in a general sense. People who don't have a car or have limited resources to travel to an ID-issuing location, which in most of the proposed voter-ID schemes means DMV offices. I have proposed in the forum in the past my plan -- grandfather in all the existing registered voters, and require new registrants to get some sort of recognized ID, obtainable without cost or major effort.
