Today in Fascism

And California sends out ballots to dead people (very common) or people that don't live in California. My buddy's son has never lived in California as an adult, but they still send my buddy, who lives in California, a mail-in ballot for his son.

By incompetence and/or intent California doesn't have the guardrails to prevent voter fraud. By intent the Left doesn't want to change that, despite over 80% of voters wanting voter ID.
How many?

“When it comes to elections, we have this attitude that there is no acceptable error rate, that we have to get every election 100 percent perfect, When you look at the numbers we’re talking about in LA County -- 215 voters out of 4.7 million registered voters in LA -- you’re talking about an error rate that’s .0000453 percent.”

-- Kim Alexander, head of nonprofit, nopartisan California Voter Foundation.

And if so, I believe some diegueno's would love to speak with you about simply claiming land as ones own.
Let's be perfectly honest, if any group has been completely screwed by the white man its American Indians. We killed them and their animals, took their land and in return gave them shitty desert property and alcohol. Giving them casinos is little consolation.

You can't unwind or change history with reparations or land acknowledgments (different time and different standards), you can only avoid committing the same atrocities in the future. This is part of the reason why the new anti-Semitism is so troubling. Prior to the last couple of years, I never understood how the Holocaust could happen and thought there was no way it could happen again. Holy shit was I wrong. Some of the atrocities that Hamas has committed would make Hitler jealous that he didn't think of them.

Then you have widespread anti-Semitic protests on college campuses and in the streets, some even directly supporting Hamas. Like I said before its insidious and we see it on this very forum with chuckleheads promoting anti-Zionist propaganda. "Progressives" are telling the KKK to "hold my beer" when it comes to anti-Semitism.

Non partisan? All the people that run it are democrats.

You fall into the trap so many do...hey them call themselves non partisan...so they must be. Or similary the leftist press states they are non partisan...but fail to inform everyone that the people that run that org are all dems.

CVF was founded in 1989 by former California State Assembly member and Secretary of State March Fong Eu (D-CA). In 1994, the organization was “re-founded” by Kim Alexander, a former campaign staffer for California State Assembly member Gary Hart (D-Santa Barbara) and member of the Secretary of State exploratory committee for then-California State Assembly member Jackie Speier (D-San Mateo). 23 Alexander has run the organization ever since, with much of its budget going toward her salary.

"We" killed them and their animals. Please speak for yourself. If you got white guilt, thats on you and your family.

Statement of Scott Pelley

I'm saddened to see the transcript of the CBS News morning editorial meeting.
Bari Weiss knows what she said is not true. In the meeting on Tuesday, in which I was effectively fired, there was no effort of any kind to "find a way back," as Weiss said in the editorial meeting. At no point did anyone in the Tuesday meeting suggest that there could be steps taken by either side that would lead to a resolution. Weiss and Tom Cibrowski were openly hostile from the start. "Firing" was raised by Cibrowski in the first 15 seconds. No CBS executive, at any time, suggested "a way back." To say so now is disingenuous. And they know it.
In fact, Weiss, Cibrowski and Nick Bilton refused to answer my questions. I asked Weiss a number of questions about why she fired the entire senior staff of 60 Minutes a few days before and without cause.
"I'm not answering that question," she said.
I asked why she did not come to 60 Minutes' offices to explain her actions.
"I'm not answering that question."
Why did she fire 60 Minutes Executive Producer Tanya Simon?
"I'm not answering that question."
Why fire correspondent Cecilia Vega?
"I'm not answering that question."
Why fire correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi?
"I'm not answering that question."
Throughout the meeting, the CBS executives were abrupt, dismissive and uninterested in dialogue.
Suddenly, and to my surprise, Cibrowski declared, "This conversation is over!"
"Why?" I asked. "I'm happy to answer your questions."
"This conversation is over!" Cibrowski repeated, raising his voice and standing to show me the door.
"I'm happy to keep talking," I added.
No constructive dialogue was allowed by the CBS executives at any point. I was stonewalled for about 10 minutes and then, for no apparent reason, "This conversation is over."
I am pained that the staff of CBS News was misled in the Wednesday morning conference call. These executives cannot gain the trust of the staff with lies. This is antithetical to everything we stand for and reveals contempt for what journalists do.

The Roman's what? Which Roman?

How much of what is now called Israel had the ancient Hebrews settled and developed?

What were their neighbors in the same region called? Were they the Philistines?

I don't know about the Dieguenos, but my wife and I have very good relations with the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation -- they have given us many valuable things, and we are hoping that one of our sons might marry into the tribe.
Pompey, Titus, and Hadrion

Does it matter? How much of what is called the U.S. had the native Americans settled and developed?

Yes there were Philistines amongst others. Not sure why you would ask considering Palestinians today are of Arab descent and not descendants of the Greek Philistines of which youre alluding to.

Yup. My post was to point out the hypocrisy of being bashing one another country for doing it all while sleeping soundly on the ground taken from another.

Buh bye Scott👋

Probably nothing, like the Hunter Biden laptop “conspiracy theory”, vaccine injury “conspiracy theory”, etc.

Is this what people were calling "attacking the messenger" earlier in this thread?

What did they get wrong?
