Colbert, dude, stop! I can’t stop laughing!
That show loses 40 million a year.

He was also brought in to bring in a younger audience (where the money is). When he started the average age of his viewer was 60. It is now 68.

People are increasingly NOT watching late night TV shows.

He and the other hosts also only cater to the D side of the aisle, so the other half of the country has no interest in watching.

That is a formula for failure.

His bank account shows him to be a success....they guys losing 40 million a year think it is time to stop the bleeding.

As Colbert has pointed out, his audience is mainly younger (and some older, such as me) who view his show in snippets on YouTube and other similar apps. CBS/Paramount/whatever have not figured out how to sell that to advertisers as richly as the classic late-night shows did (see Carson, Leno, Letterman, etc).

When will the Dems get tired of smelling themselves and imagining everyone else is also supporting and enjoying it? I have to think that the USAid money drying up is killing the subsidies these money-losing shows were getting.

It’s fanatical the way many hold on to these losing ideas. Too many of them believe their own propaganda and can’t bear to consider that their efforts have nothing to do with, “fighting the good fight” and are simply extreme, anti-democratic, and divisive. I expect more and more unhinged responses from the Left as they see their years of effort and belief finally face reality.

He can stream it on X. I’m sure Elon would welcome him.

Really? You sure it's not because people don't want to be chastised by some parroting idiot. Oh wait.. you watch that stuff. Makes sense now.

Colbert is wrong.

Hollywood Reporter notes the average age of Colbert’s viewers is 68.

According to CNBC, the average age of David Letterman’s viewers when he handed his timeslot to Colbert in 2015 was 60.

I am telling you...our government has been run by idiots for far too long.

We had Chinese engineers working on DOD systems?
