I asked Google where Pope Leo was born and I have some saying Chicago and some saying Tuscany.

Pope Leo XIV was born in Chicago, grew up in south suburban Dolton, and attended the Catholic Theological Union of Chicago in city's Hyde Park neighborhood.

Lol, lots of strawmen yourself. Over half the $4.7B is in government grants for specific purposes. Go to any of the very many natural disasters we have annually in this country and you will find CC there providing help and assistance. Go to a SVdeP dining hall and watch families come in to eat, they work, but don't get paid enough (min wage / hours) to feed the family for the week - the companies make billions though, like Walmart. I guess, that means that CCs are enabling and complicit in perpetuating that too.

If you want to get angry with someone for "enabling" or being "complicit" on illegals, then direct all that to those who could, can, and should be solving the problem, i.e. the politicians. 2021-2023 was a shit show and they can ensure it doesn't ever happen again. Do you think they will legislate accordingly?

Wow, that is hard truth speak right there. That is super sad. I. Know a former boy scout that was groomed by a bad scout master. The wolf in sheeps clothing is no joke. These monsters prey on innocence when they should be praying and helping the boys. This man is so forgiving today and doesnt like to talk about his abuse but he's scard for life. Broken home and taken advantage of. God help us help those in need. The worst part in this kind of abuse is its in the name of God. No, I don't think that there is much hope that congress will legislate to reform our immigration laws. Fortunately, for the time being the Trump administration has brought illegal immigration down to record lows. Stricter immigration policies is an 80/20 issue, but the Dems will never get onboard unless maybe its right before an election. The 2013 immigration bill was the best opportunity and a decent bill, but it was torpedoed by Republicans in the house. A lot has flipped since then and the Dem's appear to be more worried about due process for deportation, then due process for entering our country and Republicans have become more hard core because of what happened the last 4 years.
