The beauty of not treating people in Canada is they don't die bankrupt. How lovely - although they may have their assets frozen.Assuming this is true, it illustrates two problems, 1) the cost of healthcare 2) the leniency of our bankruptcy laws. Judging healthcare by bankruptcies is not a relevant measure, because of the difference in these bankruptcy laws. Most other countries have significant asset forfeiture laws and other restrictions. For example, in Australia you have a prohibition on out of country travel for 3 years unless you receive court approval.
