Strange. The Western Fire Chiefs Association says otherwise:

Humans cause nearly 90% of wildfires in the United states1 via discarded cigarettes, unattended campfires, burning debris, or through equipment malfunctions. Although less common, wildfires can also occur though non-human phenomena, such as lightning strikes and volcanic eruptions.

Sad news to report. My wife's cousin lives in Alta Dena and her house is gone. She and her husband restored it back in 2015 and it was so beautiful. I spent many days hanging out with them. She is devasted as are so many others. These sickos will pay for their crimes against humanity.
